The gearbox (a version of the T56) is mounted direct to the diff. The diff and the engine (LS2) are connected by a torque tube which carries the prop shaft. cool! Have a look therefore at the following photo of a T56 against a T56 Magnum (TR-6060):. The box may still be too big though compared to the T5!

Replace or re-engineer the heating and air conditioning system to be more effective / simple. Modify the dashboard to incorporate more modern instruments and audio/navigation system. whilst keeping the original overall "swooping" appearance. Possible re-location of the handbrake lever.
