Information from the Isthmus

Information from the Isthmus. Wednesday, June 16, 2010. Well project has come to an end. Last night I spent a little time reflecting on what I learned in the past 6 ½ weeks here in Panama. After some thought and prayer I came up with this: The Gospel truly does change both lives and even communities. We need to keep the Gospel central to our Christian walk and daily remind ourselves of it. Such trip, and although I arrived thinking I knew what to expect I have been in awe of what I saw. This year our pro...

Information from the Isthmus: Do not let your heart be troubled...

http://www.steveinpanama.blogspot.com/2010/04/do-not-let-your-heart-be-troubled.html

Information from the Isthmus. Thursday, April 15, 2010. Do not let your heart be troubled. My heart was a bit troubled yesterday. Mostly to do with life and the big picture of things (what program to stick with? Future etc.) but it was all triggered by the little things.namely the details for Panama project. Let not your hearts be troubled. Trust in God; trust also in Me. That really answered lots of my 'bigger picture' questions.namely: What of my life? I think that was God reassuring me He is with me.

Information from the Isthmus: Week 2

http://www.steveinpanama.blogspot.com/2010/05/week-2.html

Information from the Isthmus. Friday, May 21, 2010. Its been a really incredible week down here in Panama, and I would like to start with a story from the Santiago campus. Melanie went up to Santiago Monday (leaving at 6:30 in the morning and getting back at 11:30 at night! It was so exciting to see him talk about that. This for me is a huge miracle as follow up is always the missing link. As we spent the day on campus, several times students approached us asking when they could meet up again! Life in Pa...

Information from the Isthmus. Friday, June 4, 2010. Hopefully I will have a few minutes later today or this weekend to update, but if not.talk to you in a few weeks. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Coming up this week/Prayer Requests. Information from the Isthmus. Friday, May 14, 2010. Its hard to believe that we’ve already been here for almost two weeks, the time is really flying by. So far things have gone great! It really is a special time as you work side by side with others for the kingdom. We have just completed our first week on campus. The first ...

Sarah's Story.God's Glory. Thursday, January 17, 2008. Since being in Panama I have acquired many nicknames. I have had nicknames growing up, but never have gained so many in such a short time. The names are as follows:. 1) Canada - for obvious reasons, but the Panamanians have decided that no one else on the team is to be referred to as Canada, this is a reserved solely for me. 2) Fungus Feet - NOT, may I repeat NOT BECAUSE I HAVE FUNGUS! I have no idea. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). A Few Other Blogs.

Derek in Panama: God's Provision

http://derekinpanama.blogspot.com/2009/03/one-thing-that-continually-amazes-me-is.html

This is my blog that I've started to write down my thoughts and keep people updated about my life in Panama. Thursday, March 26, 2009. One thing that continually amazes me is how living and active God's word is. I can have read something many times before, yet so often God will reveal something completely new and relevant to me. I was reading through Genesis this past week and it happened again. 8220;I am Joseph! 8221; he said to his brothers. “Is my father still alive? Here, God took circumstances that,...

The Narrow Road: Beautiful people.

http://followthenarrowroad.blogspot.com/2009/07/beautiful-people.html

Wednesday, July 29, 2009. I have been incredibly blessed and inspired recently by two women whom I have never had the pleasure of meeting in person, but I've gotten to know a little bit through their writings. Since returning from debrief I read a book called. God is so good. I love how he uses people in our lives, sometimes people that we have never met and maybe never will on this side of heaven, to draw us to himself. May He be praised! Back to panama 07-09. Thoughts on STINT in Panama. year one (07-08) and now year two (08-09). Thursday, February 26, 2009. The children too were absolutely amazing! We were mobbed as we walked throughout the villages and many a time I felt a little hand grab mine as we were walking to and fro. It was fun to play with them and teach them new games but also super encouraging hearing them sing Christian songs well into the night. Saturday, February 21, 2009. Mexpatriate — in the key of steve. Missives from mexico's pacific coast. Thursday, August 13, 2015. Some days I feel as if I live in a fantasy. Take yesterday morning. Every summer we wait for the rains to arrive to help moderate our humidity. So far, this year, nature has been toying with our affections. Instead of our usual rain storm every three or four days, we get a bit of rain - and then days of damp heat. I have learned my lesson about driving my Escape in our tropical rain storms.
