Playlist for the Hurting Soul. May 24, 2016. Yesterday, May 23, would have been my brother’s 26th birthday. He’s in heaven now. It’s also a hard day, though, because we miss him. There will always be a void in our lives because of his absence. And though the severity of that pain lessens as the years go by, it will never fully go away. A while back, Emily Freeman. Wrote a blog post titled A Playlist for the Nervous Traveler. My playlist is for the hurting soul. It could be grief, challenging circumst...

The Vacation Spot We Should Have Considered. May 15, 2015. This is a sponsored post written by me on behalf of Puerto Rico, The All-Star Island. All opinions are 100% mine. Earlier this week, I shared all of the islands we visited. On our cruise. What I didn’t share with you was how much I loved the starting and ending point – Puerto Rico! We walked on the beach and moments later, we were doing this:. How come I hadn’t considered Puerto Rico before? One of the great things about Puerto Rico is that you d...

Laquo; It’s getting hot in here. Working Out While Pregnant. June 17, 2015. In general, I find it kind of fascinating to observe the general population’s reactions to pregnant people. Whether it’s determining who is most likely to give up their seat on the subway (more on this later) or watching strangers struggle to control their “must touch the belly! 8221; reflex, being pregnant (especially in a big city) is nothing short of non-stop social experiment. I didn’t love tempering my workouts (I also...

Nearly every denim makeover I’ve done ends with the same conversation. I had no idea what a difference it would make I thought I was safe with Gap jeans! Oh my goodness why didn’t anyone tell me I was wearing Mom Jeans? I thought that as long as I was shopping at Old Navy, I was fine! Gap and Old Navy sell Gateway Mom Jeans.

http://lauraelizabethbritton.blogspot.com/2015/04/when-life-doesnt-go-as-planned.html
April 6, 2015. When life doesn't go as planned. I've been putting off sharing this for a long time, because I wasn't ready to talk about it. Maybe I wasn't ready to acknowledge it. I've been in a rough spot for a long time, and it's been difficult to process through my emotions. I finally feel like I'm in a place where I can and want to talk about it, so here goes. Michael and I have been trying to start a family for over a year, and it hasn't happened for us yet. April 8, 2015 at 7:26 PM. You are so bra...

Livin' la vida loca. The ramblings of a (retired) vagabond trying to figure out life in Atlanta. My faith, your love, our freedom. But we’ll get back to that in a second). 9 things you’ve missed because I’ve been horrible at blogging:. 1) I had the best CGA-ers a girl could ask for! 2) I ran a 5K! Now I know what you’re thinking, but it’s not a lie, me, Sarah Olmstead, I actually ran. Shocking I know, but I did it! 3) My mom came to visit! 5) My little brother graduated from Virginia Military Institute!

Winding down with the Whiteds: Sechseläuten

Winding down with the Whiteds. Friday, May 8, 2015. This is pretty late, but I had to share about this funny Swiss holiday. I really wanted to go, but fighting the crowds and traffic with two little ones around dinner time didn't sound like a fun time. Maybe next year :-). The tradition has it that the time between the lighting and the head explosion indicates what summer will be like-a quick explosion means a nice sunny summer, the longer it takes, the worse the summer will be.
