January 16, 2016. I made it through Painting Drama 1, a composition and visual storytelling course mentored by Chris Oatley. It was a rare and valuable chance to absorb vast amounts of visual storytelling wizardry, which I hope will truly affect my art going forward. My brain is still processing it all. These have all been painted with a limited palette of Cadmium Yellow Light, Cadmium Orange, Cadmium Red Light, Alizarin Crimson, Ultramarine Blue, and Phthalo Green, with the exception of "Catching Waves", which I painted using only Cadmium Yellow Light, Cadmium Red Light, Alizarin Crimson, and Ultramarine Blue.
