Learning About Africa: The Bleeding of the Stone
http://kristintuinier.blogspot.com/2008/11/bleeding-of-stone.html
Tuesday, November 11, 2008. The Bleeding of the Stone. When I first started reading this book, I was worried it would be a boring read. However, after I stuck it out for a while, it started to get pretty good. Asouf begins to tell his story and the visitors arrive. I was curious about the place where all of this happened. The map on the left is of Libya. And I'm guessing of the area near where this book takes place. November 12, 2008 at 8:29 AM. November 26, 2008 at 2:49 PM. View my complete profile.

Learning About Africa: The Language of Johnny Mad Dog
http://kristintuinier.blogspot.com/2008/11/language-of-johnny-mad-dog.html
Tuesday, November 25, 2008. The Language of Johnny Mad Dog. As I've read through. There have been several passages that have caught my attention and I feel have helped me to understand the main characters better (Laokole and Johnny). I just think it is interesting that these two sentences are repeated in the book and I'm wondering if they are repeated at all later on in the book. I guess I'll just have to keep reading. Learning About Africa: 2008-11-30

Tuesday, December 2, 2008. Ways we can help.ways others are helping. To be honest, I wasn't going to find anything new to bring to class today about helping in Africa. However, last night I decided to look at the Kalamazoo Gazette. And found, to my surprise, an article about World AIDS Day. The reason I wasn't going to do anything for class today was that I had written my second paper on World Vision. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). View my complete profile. African Literature: Unit On Africa
http://edennis314.blogspot.com/2008/12/unit-on-africa.html
Thursday, December 11, 2008. From taking this class I have found out that many people are uneducated about the harsh realities that are going on Africa. The only way we can stop the misunderstandings and stop being a people so involved in things that only concern us directly is to become an educated people. Although educating someone at the college level is good, why does it have to wait until the college level? Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). View my complete profile.

http://edennis314.blogspot.com/2008_10_01_archive.html
Wednesday, October 29, 2008. How upsetting is it to realize that you are completely oblivious to what is going on around you? Above: Offshore Oil Rig in Africa. Right: Gas Flare in Africa. Monday, October 27, 2008. Medical Care in Africa. If this is how they treat U.S. citizens, meaning those who have money, I can only imagine how those who live in Africa are treated. In Mozambique there are only 7 ear, nose and throat specialists. Seven! In the whole country! Wednesday, October 22, 2008. Hexagon, smooth...
