News and updates about the newest addition to the Holland family. Once upon a time, this was a blog about two loving people and one furry dog who wanted to start a family. At first, we all pursued an adoption in Vietnam. When that didn’t work out, we pursued an adoption in Haiti. When that fell through, we adopted another dog. Seriously. One Response to “About”. October 17, 2007 at 1:10 pm. I talked to your mom last night and she filled me in on the last year of your journey. I am headed back to China in...

News and updates about the newest addition to the Holland family. 31 Weeks and the Babymoon. March 15, 2011. My favorite of these new-fangled, recently-in-vogue trends is the Babymoon. It seems every book and magazine I’ve read since September has encouraged me to take a Babymoon, and (frankly) no one needed to tell me twice. Have you picked out a name, yet? 8220;Wow, total strangers will ask you the most personal question when you’re pregnant, huh? A day on the water during the Babymoon. Paint that same...

Breaking Bubbles: May 2010
http://breakingbubbles.blogspot.com/2010_05_01_archive.html
Tuesday, May 25, 2010. The Sugar Monster Strikes Again. To lay off the sugar. I've been improving on my intake- far less runs are being made to Cub Foods for their sinfully rich (and overly processed) and tasty brownies- but I'm not the best at it yet. Take for example, Starbucks new mini doughnuts. The double chocolate doughnuts are fantastic- and quite addictive. For the last few weeks, they have been my little "sugar rush" a few times a week. So, I need to stop allowing myself these "treats," right?

Thursday, September 30, 2010. New Discoveries and Set Backs. Before I start today's post, I just want to say that I make no claims that this blog is anything but self-indulgent ramblings of the issues with my health. So, bear with me as I get some things off my chest- I don't own a journal, never have, and this is closest I have to it. :). Full Blown. Meltdown. Something had to get out. Cold and I sleep with thick socks and blankets even in the summer. The good thing is that the diet she is recommended i...

Breaking Bubbles: October 2010
http://breakingbubbles.blogspot.com/2010_10_01_archive.html
Tuesday, October 12, 2010. For the first time in a while, I am listening to my body. I mean. Listening. Not psycho-analyzing, not obsessing, not making assumptions, but really listening to what is happening with it. And I made a revelation. Doc had it figured out before I did. My stomach was not happy with me. I could not have been more wrong! First, I added in a digestive enzyme supplement. This was important to help break down the food. Then I decided I needed to add in something to heal the st...I rem...
