March 29, 2014. I really liked the look of this month's Schnibbles pattern, Hook. I got Basic Grey's fun new Christmas 2014 line, 25th and Pine. Guess what goes perfectly with 25th and Pine? This tone on tone green polka dot from Bonnie and Camille's April Showers line! I ran out of the white fabric (and steam - I have 3 baby gifts to make! So I left off the last 2 borders. June 28, 2014. When sewing machines attack! Nicole and I have been texting back and forth about our difficulties with the piecing of our Metro Hoops quilt. Poor Nicole even suffered an injury when she was so focused on her piecing, she sewed her own finger! Read about it here. I'm hoping Nicole and her finger are better today! Friday, January 18, 2013. Isn't this a fun little flag quilt! This quilt belongs to Lisa and her piecing was beautiful. I wanted the quilting to take on the elements of a flag. Stars in the corner and horizontal red and white stripes. For the stars, I did all straight lines using a ruler as my guide. For the red and white, I made all my quilting horizontal. Thursday, February 23, 2012. I did some fun custom quilting on it.I wanted the quilting to be fitting for the batik fabric.and as always wonderful piecing Lisa! I used an off white thread for all the cream fabric and a medium brown for the dark areas. For the batting, I used double warm and white.
