Saturday, October 4, 2008. Q: What do you call a pig that does karate? So Jack has been in Karate since this summer. He is a yellow belt and is getting ready to test for "high-yellow." One of the requirements is that they memorize a kata, or routine, that has about 50 moves in it. And they have to do it perfectly. Zero mistakes. He didn't do it perfect, but he tried his hardest and was a good sport all the way. I was just bursting with pride! We are the Clarks! He is such a good kid! I am so proud of him!

Sunday, October 19, 2008. Gotta Love Colorful Colorado. So, we were lucky enough to get away up to the mountains a couple weekends ago and check out the leaves turning. I think we were a little early. We didn't see the bright reds but saw lots of amazing golds and brilliant yellows. We headed West up to Silver Plume, which is only about 45 minutes from where we are, and stopped to check stuff out. He's had this fascination since he saw "Willy Wonka" A COUPLE YEARS AGO and became obsessed with the girl who turns into a blueberry. See I wasn't kidding. We are the Clarks! The first couple of seasons it was somewhat like watching the "BAD NEWS BEARS"! This year they really made some huge improvements and ended up winning first place in their division. We left the morning of my birthday so my cute friends showed up early in the morning to pick me up with cupcakes and happy birthday crowns that we wore all the way to California,. Nikki, Erin and Jarrie having healthy breakfast burritos at the airport after we had yummy cupcakes:). The flight attendant had the whole plane sing me 'happy birthday' and made me this crown of pretzels. I felt so loved:). Funny van - it wasn't ours:).

Tak jste se všichni rozprchli do světa. Na dovolené, na výlety . a já jsem na tom podobně. Přes týden práce v práci, a na víkendy většinou mizím pryč. Po příjezdu odkládám telefon, a nechávám se unášet tou naprostou pohodou a bezstarostností. Předminulý víkend jsem poprvé sjížděla řeku Lužnici na kánoi!
