Bit because this is a book that I’ve been struggling to get past 15k for the past year but at least I wrote fifty…thousand…words. The book is about a sort-of-not-dead prince and he’s 90% a jerk in the beginning of the book but doesn’t mean it, and he’s 80% a jerk in the end but a well-meaning jerk. Before NaNo I was:. Tuesday, April 23, 2013. Sorry for posting this so late. I arrived home late and was busy with homework until 10. This month, I decided to participate in Teens Can Write, Too! The prompt was: What is your ultimate goal as a writer? The most common answer to this question is probably getting published. Others might include fame, awards, or financial success. I've definitely dreamt of each of these over the years, and even developed detailed interview responses. (It's good to prepare, right? That's not to ...

Reality Is Imaginary: Is This Real Fantasy?
http://realityisimaginary.blogspot.com/2012/11/is-this-real-fantasy.html
Wednesday, November 14, 2012. Is This Real Fantasy? 8220;You have to write the book that wants to be written. And if the book will be too difficult for grown-ups, then you write it for children.” - Madeline L'Engle. My NaNo novel this year is called The Time-Weaver. The idea of YA lit being its own genre is, simply put, a prejudice. It is a prejudice against the idea that novels written for teens can be thought-provoking, or complicated, or more than, as we call them in my house, 'fluff'. John Gr...8211;...

Adventuring into fictional worlds. Are Readers To Blame? On Actively Reading Diverse. December 19, 2016. December 19, 2016. Disclaimer: I thought I would put this here because I assume certain people are going to have a problem with this post – I am in no way telling you what you should and shouldn’t read.
