Monday, August 27, 2012. My sweet Andrew took me on a 2-night weekend getaway to New Orleans. I had never been, and since it is not too terribly far from home, we decided to go try it out. Wednesday, February 29, 2012. Eva Brooke is putting on her makeup like Mommy. These sweet grins melt me every time. Her vocabulary is growing by the day! My favorites are "peeease" and "tank you." She is also beginning to put noun and verb together, like "Daddy go? And "juice peeease.". Cotton really puts up with a lot. She can't pick her up yet, but the day is coming soon! Boxes are the best choo-choos. If you are in or around Hamilton, Alabama, you have to stop. You can't beat it! A music star, maybe?

Thursday, September 13, 2012. Eva Brooke's 2nd Birthday. We had Eva Brooke's 2nd birthday party at our house on her actual birthday, Saturday, August 11th. I wasn't sure how "into" her party she would be. She was TOTALLY into everyone coming to "Brooke's house" and also into blowing out her candles. Saturday, April 27, 2013. Eva Brooke's activity table and train set that I bought from a friend. I sure do love finding a deal! Shopping list: Milk, bread, bath crayons. They are just nearly a staple at our house now. We have a little artist. Her first consistently recognizable drawing- a smily face! Pictures sent to me by Eva Brooke's teacher at school. EB takes her kitty Gilbert to school EVERY day. Thanks to Aunt Deb for making Eva Brooke a BEAUTIFUL corduroy dress. Happy Valentine's Day, Eva Brooke!

Wednesday, October 24, 2012. While at the beach in September, we had Eva Brooke's 2 year pictures and family portraits made. Although not exactly what you want to do on vacation (uh-hmm Andrew), we were happy with the result. Our friend Stephen Greenway called it the "walk of shame," as the pitiful dressed-up husband walks past other men still enjoying the day, haha! First stop: Original Oyster House. We just couldn't wait to get down to the water. Eva Brooke loved playing in the sand and wave pool.

Monday, April 23, 2012. On March 31, our friends, the Kizers, hosted an Easter egg hunt at their house for all the West Main kiddos. They have a great, big yard. They even have a red barn, which Eva Brooke thought was very cool. After eating her usual one to two bites, it was time to hunt eggs! At the starting line. Eva Brooke wasn't really into hunting eggs. You can see her walking away to do her own thing. Yes, we forced her. She seems excited about it for a second, yay! Wearing the oven mitt around.

Wednesday, January 25, 2012. EB Loves the Mirror. Thursday, January 19, 2012. Thanksgiving was a wonderful day, but a busy day. We started the day in Hamilton eating and visiting with my side of the family. That afternoon, we headed to Booneville to spend time with Andrew's side. Friday, May 17, 2013. Our March started off with some light snow! EB and her friend Caroline at school. Melts my heart! And with Gilbert, of course! I love watching her creative play. Here she is rowing a boat. Picnicking at the park! Those geese at the park are aggressive! I have to admit, it's still fun to play on these things. Her first boo-boo at school. Sunday, December 30, 2012. Happy Birthday, Cotton! On November 2, Cotton turned 5 years old. She got some new treats and a toy. She is a part of the family, after all! This is the usual reaction I get when trying to take a picture of EB all dressed up on Sunday mornings. On November 6, Eva Brooke and I left to vacation with Mimi and Pop in the Smoky Mountains. Here we are after eating an early Cracker Barrel breakfast on the way. EB's new trick that she knows we cannot stand :-). Having fun in Gatlinburg.
