Tuesday, August 01, 2006. There Goes The Madone. I read in the WSJ today that prices for bikes (and lacrosse sticks) are going through the roof. The reason behind this economic catastrophe? Is it the unbridaled enthusiasm for road biking that's taken hold in the last few years? Is it the furor created by recent events at the TDF? Is it the popularity of the Duke Lacrosse team? Cyclists and Lacrosse players are not being unfairly singled out. Cellists, crew teams and golfers are also feeling the heat.

But generally, you should not drive farther to get to a ride than you're going to ride when you get there. So, I'm currently looking for better training options. Let me know if you are aware of any.
