I use my made from scratch pizza dough recipe. But you can use frozen dough or buy dough from your local pizzeria. Any way these are really special! Cooking in Bush Alaska: Crazy Chocolate Cake

http://cookinginbushalaska.blogspot.com/2012/01/crazy-chocolate-cake.html

Cooking in Bush Alaska. Creatively avoiding food boredom in a land far away from full-service grocery stores and fresh ingredients. Monday, January 30, 2012. Despite the manager's best efforts, on occasion the local store is sold out of eggs and waiting for their next shipment to arrive. There are a few solutions to this problem when it comes to keeping up with dessert cravings. 1) Special order eggs from Nome and have them delivered by plane (for a price of course). Post the other day. 2 tsp baking soda.

As excited as I am to be — slowly, tentatively — back in the kitchen, I seem to be stuck at the beginning, or at least the beginning of the day. I’m fixated on granola. This crisp is supposed to be the fall answer to my beloved breakfast apricot crisp. And Meatballs and Spaghetti. And Butternut Squash and Caramelized Onion Galette. 2 tablespoons lemon juice.

It’s kind of a letdown but I just assumed that butterscotch must be a thermometer-requiring, magic wand-waving difficult thing to make. That would explain it, right? I enjoy cooking in all its forms as well as discovering the food culture of where ever I'm living. So much so that I have been known to do some slightly crazy things for an ingredient. New starts and taking action. Taking that first step is always difficult. It is even more difficult when you have to take that first step more than once. I'm still planning on keeping this part of my life alive but, you can also find me over on tumblr. Just search for nellimay.tumblr. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).
