Travels with Jennifer Susan

Travels with Jennifer Susan. Been there, done that, got the T-shirt for Benjamin. Tuesday, 3 March 2009. Kathmandu-Delhi-London 23 February 2009. We flew home ahead of everyone else. Checked in for the flight - more bureacracy - first you must queue at the bank and pay departure tax (lower for us than the others because we were flying out via Delhi), then change your Rupees for Dollars (no sterling), then check in with your receipt for the departure tax. The perfect connection - no hanging around at all.

Travels with Jennifer Susan: Pokhara 16 February 2009

http://travelswithjennifersusan.blogspot.com/2009/03/pokhara-16-february-2009.html

Travels with Jennifer Susan. Been there, done that, got the T-shirt for Benjamin. Monday, 2 March 2009. Pokhara 16 February 2009. Up before dawn (again) for the mercifully short drive to the hilltop village of Sarangkot to witness the dawn. Glad of the thermals. Machhapuchhare and Annapurna peaks tinted pink by the sunrise. After these exertions, opted for a lazy afternoon by the pool (32 degrees in the sun - water 20 degrees). Guess who tried which. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).

Travels with Jennifer Susan. Been there, done that, got the T-shirt for Benjamin. Monday, 2 March 2009. Kathmandu 11/12 February 2009. Flew with Jet Airways http:/ www.jetairways.com/. From Heathrow. managed to blag an exit row for the overnight flight to Delhi - the extra leg-room more than made up for the child being sick before takeoff necessitating a cleaner to come on board an mop up. Easy conection at Delhi with staff hovering to make sure we didn't go astray. After a shower we went for a wander ro...

Travels with Jennifer Susan. Been there, done that, got the T-shirt for Benjamin. Friday, 9 January 2009. Winter Park, Colorado 9 January 2009. Heavy overnight snow. Perfect powder conditions for making first tracks on the higher slopes. Skied all around the resort, sticking mainly to blues as the weather alternated between brilliant blue skies and white-out blizzards as wave after wave of snow-laden clouds came over. Total descent for the day: 6185m. Winter Park, Colorado 8 January 2009. There has also ...

Travels with Jennifer Susan: Chitwan National Park 20 February 2009

http://travelswithjennifersusan.blogspot.com/2009/03/chitwan-national-park-20-february-2009.html

Travels with Jennifer Susan. Been there, done that, got the T-shirt for Benjamin. Monday, 2 March 2009. Chitwan National Park 20 February 2009. After an early morning walk in the National Park - during which we again saw no tiger (probably good thing) - we joined in the elephant bathing. We seemed to get wetter than the elephants! In the afternoon we took a canoe down-river. We saw Marsh Mugger crocodiles. And the very rare fish-eating (we hope somebody told them) gharial crocodile.

Charlie Hebdo and the end of “my innocent Paris”. January 12, 2015. To me, Paris was a dream. I remember my time in the city with memories of freedom, indulgence, and glamour. The Charlie Hebdo and subsequent terrorist attacks in the city shattered this fantastic reverie. It was a wakeup call to reality and represents the end of my “innocent Paris”. 100 to a pickpocket. To put it lightly, Charlie Hebdo put it all in perspective for me. January 2, 2015. Ndash; working girl doing work. Ndash; because I mis...

Look at the Pretty! A Bi-Weekly Photoblog of Northern California and Beyond. The Road to King City. April 18, 2017. Last winter and spring I was traveling for work to King City in southern Monterey county. There is a back road that takes you to San Benito county and the Pinnacles National Park, so I took that way once. Let’s start at this amazing restaurant called Jardines de San Juan, in San Juan Bautista. Great mexican food and a ton of beautiful gardens surrounding it. So many cacti and succulents.

Life Travels | Life. As It Happens

Life As It Happens. December 28, 2014. December 28, 2014. We are getting ready to leave in a day and a half for 18 days in Paris. We’re celebrating our 23rd wedding anniversary. If the termite company had told me that it was even a remote possibility that it could happen, I would have taken it all off site. All they said was to be sure to secure my valuables. Just not the way they should have told me to. Anyway, I digress. Scott said we should do things rather than have things, so. January 20, 2014.
