http://travelswithjkandscott.com/2013/12/26/christmas-musings-and-food-coma-part-2
Life As It Happens. Christmas Musings…and Food Coma, Part 2. December 26, 2013. Holiday Musings and Food Coma….Part 2. Scott and I arrived in San Remo, Italy on Christmas Eve around lunch time. Thankfully our hotel has parking that we can pay for. That’s one of the many things we have learned about driving in Europe – find a hotel that has parking! On our way to Sanremo, we decided to take the coastal route, much to the dismay of our navigation system – but what a ride! Our Christmas Day lunch was cause ...

Life As It Happens. December 23, 2013. December 23, 2013. What an amazing 24 hours worth of food…Scott calls it a food extravaganza because it’s so good. Not only does it look good, but the lunch we had today at Bistrot Le Zinc was truly brodering on orgasmic, the flavors were that good. But, let me start with last night…see that giant plate of seafood? That’s what you can order when you stay in a coastal town in Europe. Silly amounts of fresh seafood. We were shocked at how much the Tabasco changed the ...
Food Karma | Life Travels
http://travelswithjkandscott.com/2013/12/29/food-karma
Life As It Happens. December 29, 2013. Food Karma is right along the lines of a Food Coma, only the circumstances have changed and the chefs have gotten even better. One of our recent stays in France was at a convent, built in 1275, that has been converted to a hotel. It was a beautiful building with wide hallways and classic stone walls and amazing ceilings. The rooms are small, which immediately made me think of the nuns who lived there at one time or another through the centuries. I had the fish dish ...

While a couple a teenage girls danced arm in arm. Cars, Trains and Scooters. December 31, 2013. Cars, Trains and Scooters. Rush hour in Europe is not like rush hour on California freeways. It’s even nuttier. In Barcelona, for example, there were 5 lanes going down a busy main street. Add to that crazy taxis. Add to that ...Vespa’s and m...

Travels with Jennifer Susan
Travels with Jennifer Susan. Been there, done that, got the T-shirt for Benjamin. Tuesday, 3 March 2009. Kathmandu-Delhi-London 23 February 2009. We flew home ahead of everyone else. Checked in for the flight - more bureacracy - first you must queue at the bank and pay departure tax (lower for us than the others because we were flying out via Delhi), then change your Rupees for Dollars (no sterling), then check in with your receipt for the departure tax. The perfect connection - no hanging around at all.

Look at the Pretty! A Bi-Weekly Photoblog of Northern California and Beyond. The Road to King City. April 18, 2017. Last winter and spring I was traveling for work to King City in southern Monterey county. There is a back road that takes you to San Benito county and the Pinnacles National Park, so I took that way once. Let’s start at this amazing restaurant called Jardines de San Juan, in San Juan Bautista. Great mexican food and a ton of beautiful gardens surrounding it. So many cacti and succulents.

Life As It Happens. December 28, 2014. December 28, 2014. We are getting ready to leave in a day and a half for 18 days in Paris. We’re celebrating our 23rd wedding anniversary. If the termite company had told me that it was even a remote possibility that it could happen, I would have taken it all off site. All they said was to be sure to secure my valuables. Just not the way they should have told me to. Anyway, I digress. Scott said we should do things rather than have things, so. January 20, 2014.

Travels with John and Susan
Travels with John and Susan. Saturday, May 26, 2012. Our last port of call was Saturday evening at Victoria, British Columbia, Canada. Susan and I took two completely different tours. Mine was the Victoria Ale and Brewery tour where we were taken to three different micro-breweries in Victoria. At each place, we were sampled many of their various beers. I didn't have the camera, so there is no proof of my wanderings that night. ;-). Susan's tour was to the famous Butchart Gardens,. And the Show Greenhouse.
Travels With Jonah
Thursday, March 13, 2014. See The USA: Travels With Jonah Two Years On. It's been almost a year since I last posted, and nearly two years since the Travels with Jonah project began. When I first set out to crowd-fund the project I had planned to produce, with your help, after a two week journey across the United States, a set of essays that spoke to the question, "What are Americans like today?
