Living without sugar and starch. December 13, 2014. December 13, 2014. These are a staple in our house, so quick and easy……. and Normal…………. I make a large amount at a time then put the rest in the freezer in packs of two or three to keep for another day, just thaw before cooking. I make ours with a mixture of beef and pork mince as it makes a slightly lighter flavour than just beef, but you can do pure beef. 500g / 1 lb beef mince. 500g / 1 lb pork mince. Salt and pepper to season. December 13, 2014.

Living without sugar and starch. January 15, 2016. January 15, 2016. I used an adapted recipe I have posted before for Chicken wrapped in bacon which I will post separately but I must say the Avocado was delicious, I’ve never tried cooking them before. Small portion of sweet potato fries: about 50g sweet potato – Fructose 0.4g, Glucose 0.5g, Sucrose 1.3g, Starch 6.3g. 1 ripe avocado, a larger size is easier. Stuffed C...

About family, faith, feeding and sensory stuff. Newer posts →. Learning to say ‘NO’. Posted by cheerios milk and spoon. This week I have been ask to think about why I find it so hard to say no…. Sausage Rolls | Sugar Free Life
https://sugarfreelifeblog.wordpress.com/2015/06/06/sausage-rolls
Living without sugar and starch. June 6, 2015. June 6, 2015. We love sausage rolls but to find safe ones is often impossible, so many seem to have onion or sugar added to them so I found this wonderfully easy recipe in a Delia Smith recipe book which makes delicious ones. I make these with ordinary flour, you can make them with gluten free flour if needed for Fructose Malabsorption but I find they are very crumbly. 8oz / 225g plain flour. 6oz / 175g butter, margarine. A pinch of salt. 3 Grate the fat wit...

March | 2015 | Sugar Free Life
https://sugarfreelifeblog.wordpress.com/2015/03
Living without sugar and starch. March 15, 2015. These, my food critic told me, are “YUM”…. Must say I have to agree with her. I was experimenting along the low carb sausage roll as pastry ones are quite high carb. We are lucky to have a good local butcher who makes his own sausage meat so I buy big rolls of it now. It has no starch filler to it, no sugar added, just pork meat, fat, herbs and a little preservative. 4 oz / 110g self-raising flour. Pint (plus 1 scant tablespoon) / 150ml water. I worked out...
