The Underdog: Awaiting restauration
http://vespa-underdog.blogspot.com/2009/09/awaiting-restauration.html
A story unwritten about resurrecting previous glory. Tuesday, 8 September 2009. The Underdog is currently waiting for restauration/customization, and I have already started collecting parts. I haven't decided on any theme yet, time will show. In need of a sand blasting. A easy fixable dent where tank goes. The usual crack in the back needs to be welded. Otherwise OK condition inside. Mudguard should be replaced by new. 105cc engine (according to previous owner). Some kind of tuning exhaust?

Regine: Guess who had to walk an old lady home today...
http://vespa180ss.blogspot.com/2011/03/guess-who-had-to-walk-old-lady-home.html
Vintage Vespa in daily use, awaiting restauration. Monday, 28 March 2011. Guess who had to walk an old lady home today. It finally happened. Regine turned on me. Guess who had to walk her home from work today. Already at work I had a good guess what it could be; the "modified" coil had been neglected for some time. And right, the cable coming up from the coil was loose. Only one thing to do: Try to repair. Off with the screws, cut off the stripped cables coming through the Bakelite. Now: Did the fix work?

http://vespa-yosephine.blogspot.com/2012/03/spare-wheel-carrier-part-2.html
Old love never dies. Sunday, 4 March 2012. Spare wheel carrier part 2. Some new pictures of the spare wheel carrier, fully mounted on the scooter. Part painted same color as scooter. Some thick tape to protect paint on the interfacing parts. Installed. turns out the extension piping was not necessary. And voila. Scooter with a spare wheel. Now if I can only get the time to sort out the engine/exhaust on this. Labels: Spare wheel bracket. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Back to main blog.

Yosephine: November 2009
http://vespa-yosephine.blogspot.com/2009_11_01_archive.html
Old love never dies. Sunday, 29 November 2009. I've been trying to find best way to approach the broken exhaust bolt on the engine, and I think I have found the simplest way to do it:. In Norwegian these are called "Skrueuttrekker" or "Grisepikk" (Loosely translatable to:"Screw-undriver" or "Pigs dick", don't ask. I believe its titulated as a screw extractor. ). Idea is that you drill out center of the stubborn bolt, then screw on of these fellas into the hole and twist out the bolt. Back at the theater,...

Yosephine: Lock change & exhaust fix
http://vespa-yosephine.blogspot.com/2010/07/lock-change-exhaust-fix.html
Old love never dies. Sunday, 4 July 2010. Lock change and exhaust fix. Finally got round to cleaning up the garage. Now, for the first time in ages, the garage floor can actually be seen! Still crowded in there, but at least its possible to work. Which brings me over to Yosephine. For some stupid reason I've misplaced the key for the steering lock. So only one thing to do: Replace lock. Remove lid and drill out old lock. Replacement lock with keys. Open and insert, add lid. Voila! Back to main blog.

Yosephine: Engine upgrade & early X-mas
http://vespa-yosephine.blogspot.com/2009/12/engine-upgrade-early-x-mas.html
Old love never dies. Sunday, 20 December 2009. Engine upgrade and early X-mas. No, I haven't fixed the exhaust bolt yet. procrastinating a bit. I have however moved one step further in getting parts for a full engine makeover. Nothing wrong with Yosephine except for a slipping clutch and the need for an upgear, and Christmas came early this year: I just recently acquired a lot of unused V50 scooter tuning parts from Oslo! This engine might find its way into Yosephine, or maybe into The Underdog.

The Underdog: September 2010
http://vespa-underdog.blogspot.com/2010_09_01_archive.html
A story unwritten about resurrecting previous glory. Wednesday, 29 September 2010. As the buildup of my Vesporghini project progresses, leftover parts from this build will most likely be used to build up this scooter. First leftover part candidate is the Special fork and front hub. Ferdinand gets a diskbrake on a modified PK fork. The fork has already been sand blasted and etch primered. Front hub and brake drum (not showing) have got the same treatment. http://vespa180ss.blogspot.com/2010_02_01_archive.html
Vintage Vespa in daily use, awaiting restauration. Thursday, 11 February 2010. Regine and the process of making a logo: Take 1. I just recently assigned for the task of making a logo and a website for my local scooterclub, Roughnecks Scooterclub. Website linked for later reference, may take a while before it is working! Regine was perfect for testing out a preliminary concept for a logo: A Roughneck. Bottom up view of Roughneck on Scooter. A full frontal view of a Roughneck on scooter. After trying out t...
