Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. The Pack Mentality is a 50 km ultra marathon which must be ran as a Pack! Your pack is a minimum of four runners and you must start together and finish together. The course is a 25 km loop in the Edmonton, Alberta River Valley. The 50 km ultra runners complete it twice. Ran in December runners must contend with harsh Edmonton winter conditions, but will be rewarded with some beautiful winter vistas of the Edmonton River Valley. Running the Canadian Death Race. Death Races We Survived. The second part to hill training was to summit Mount Temple in Banff National Park. Robert and I have climbed Mount Temple before (Erik had not), and knew it was great for strength training. Sharon and Kimi went with us as far as Sentinel Pass. We eventually made it back to the trail (if you can call it that) then it was just a matter of putting one foot in front of the other. At that altitude the slightest exertion takes the wind out of you.

River's Edge Ultra Running Series. 12km, 50km, 80km or 100km. Below are descriptions of our 6 different races. We have also included maps of the loops that comprise each of these races so you can take a look at what you will be facing. A map for each loop can be found under the menu item called “Courses.”. 1 The Magilla (100km solo):. You must run in consecutive order loop 1 twice , loop 2 twice, loop 4 once followed by loop 3 twice. Cut off to begin this final leg will be 6:30 PM. Its big and difficult!

River's Edge Ultra Running Series. 12km, 50km, 80km or 100km. End time for all races is 8:30 pm September 23, 2017. Sorry, but any runner not checked in on time will not be allowed to participate. All pre-race check-ins and bib handouts will be in the warming tent at the start/finish area. Runners starting any leg after 6 PM will be required to carry a working headlamp. It gets dark quickly after 7 pm. The race will start and finish at the same place which will be well marked once you reach the race site.
