The new facebook features really are as terrifyingly creepy as everyone is saying. But, as techcrunch notes, they're easily shut off. Where cabbage patch kids are birthed, and helen, georgia. Wry and Stanley: May 2006
http://wryandstanley.blogspot.com/2006_05_01_archive.html
Tuesday, May 30, 2006. I was poised to give up my attempt to write about language on Tuesdays, when NPR came with a full-frontal assault. From what I can gather, the closest approximation on this side of the pond is the prevailing use of "ghetto" as an adjective. And not only because Jennings mentioned Christina Aguilera. As an iteration of "chav" here in the U.S. Posted by Stanley at 20:51. Links to this post. Monday, May 29, 2006. Ryan: Hi. Can I try some of your bread? Girl: Nope. Just bread. Ryan: No...

Wry and Stanley: August 2006
http://wryandstanley.blogspot.com/2006_08_01_archive.html
Tuesday, August 29, 2006. Full Disclosure: I'm Stanley III. StanleyDad tells me that StanleyGrandpa googled his name recently, without the suffix that distinguishes his name from mine or StanleyDad's. He was livid. (Of course, comparatively, he's also livid when the Bears fumble, when it snows, when it's hot, when the pizza's not well-done enough, and, well, probably right now, too.). LittleStan [as I'm called] is famous. There's tons about him! It reminded me of this post. Marie and Senior are still mar...

Posted by tom / September 01, 2006 /. I'm only about 20 yards (sorry, meters) from the departure gate, so it seems like I'll actually be able to leave as planned. But, for the record, Gatwick Airport is terrible. It's understaffed, indifferently designed, and it costs $25 to ride the train out to it (each way). I miss Stansted. Mostly, though, I just like the Englishness. The urinals flush when you use the sink! For now, though, I'm looking forward to seeing you all back in the colonies. Great, thanks fo...

Fw in the house. Posted by catherine / August 30, 2006 /. Mark your calendars: the next f.w. thomas performance will be at the warehouse monday, september 18. I especially like the promise of how "F.W. Thomas Impresario and Master of Ceremonies Adam Mazmanian will explain what it is like to watch one's father slowly but inexorably transform into a doppelganger of Kim Jong-Il.". I know the feeling, buddy. The principle isn't to artificially turn out to be effective,. On September 20, 2016 03:34 PM.

Yeah, me too. Posted by tom / September 11, 2006 /. It's pretty weird and sad to write this. But yeah, this seems to be the end of zunta. It's been a difficult year. That's about all there is to say, I guess. This site will stay up, if only because I need to be able to google the last few years' worth of posts. Maybe we'll syndicate our feeds here or something — I donno. I'd hate for this to be the last thing on the front page. Sue And Not U. Thrown for a Loop. Entire blogroll ».
