Pushchair friendly for a change! Pushchair friendly for a change! Monday, 20 June 2016. Yesterday was my first fathers day without my Dad. There is no consolation for this, I stood at his graveside heartbroken, but if there was. it would be Craig! Not only is Craig my best friend, he is also the best Father than I could of ever wished for for my boys. Happy 3rd Birthday Rio! Happy 3rd Birthday Rio! Sunday, 12 April 2015. On Friday Rio turned three. I was going to write a sentimental post but words don't do the last three years any justice at all. The truth is life didn't change that day.it started! Craig and Rio played football for the majority of the day, while me and Niall watched from the comfort of a picnic blanket. It doesn't sound much in the terms of birthday celebrations but for our family it was perfect. The birthday boy and his bubbles :).

My boys and the bluebells! My boys and the bluebells! Saturday, 9 May 2015. Since going back to work we're finding it hard to have family days out at the weekend. Craig often works Saturdays and working Sunday is part of my contract. So when we do get the chance, like this bank holiday weekend, we really do like to make the most of it! Regular readers of my blog will already known that we like to explore and discover new places but we actually stumbled across Renishaw Hall on google maps, of all places!

Fun, farms and first birthdays! Thursday, 23 July 2015. It's the school holidays. Technically this doesn't apply to Rio, but seems as though he starts Nursery in September, I thought we would pack the time full of extra fun days anyway while we have still got the chance. Like most parenting households, we have baskets and cupboards jam packed with toys. Most of which don't get half as much use as they should! So I'm making it my mission to change that. The little one cant reach. Puts on silly voice.

But beneath all that was the fact that it was the first without my Dad. As much as I reflected on that very fact, I tried not to dwell on it. he wouldn't want me to! On weekends as much so this really was the perfect present for our outdoor family.i mean, yesterday we watched lions at sunset! Family time really is everything.
