It's a simple family blog, surely boring if you don't know us. Monday, January 7, 2008. On December 18th at 10:57 AM we were blessed with a new grandson born to my daughter Carley and her husband Dan Brooks. Jackson Henry (Yaakov Chaim) weighed in at 6 lbs 14 oz and is 19 3/4 inches long. Jackson (Jack) is named for my mother Jetta and Dan's grandmother Helen. Both Carley and Jackson are doing very well. Thought we'd share a few pics. Links to this post. Thursday, January 3, 2008. Links to this post.

The Area Under the Curve: November 2010
http://underthecurve.blogspot.com/2010_11_01_archive.html
The Area Under the Curve. Monday, November 15, 2010. Is any life so boring that its story doesn't belong on the internet? I think not. I. Think it's time for. RETURN OF THE (SIM) BLOG. Or maybe not; we'll see how long this keeps me entertained. The lunch, and which. TV shows, and how much. Coffee, and why. Do I wait until 96% of my shul. Is telling me that my hair is too long to get a haircut. The problem with biophys is that it incorporates biology, and I was never much into that. It's a funny class...

The Area Under the Curve: Weirdo
http://underthecurve.blogspot.com/2009/09/toasty.html
The Area Under the Curve. Wednesday, September 2, 2009. Tuesday morning was just like most other school mornings. Got up for the 6:45 minyan, got back to the house around 7:30, grabbed my lunch bag, coffee filled mug, paper-towel bib, car keys, and drove off toward Lake Shore Drive. (You mean you don't protect your shirt when drinking coffee while driving? ARE YOU FREAKING INSANE? And I'm flabbergasted. I smiled and quickly looked away, because after all, who the heck does this guy think he is? As We Go ...

The Area Under the Curve: July 2009
http://underthecurve.blogspot.com/2009_07_01_archive.html
The Area Under the Curve. Tuesday, July 7, 2009. WARNING: Much speculation ahead. The strangest part of parshas Pinchas has to be the section that begins וידבר משה אל ה לאמר. Moses striking up the conversation is a strange change of pace. The section continues to describe Moses' plea that G-d appoint a leader over the Israelites, one that will lead them out of the desert and bring them into the land of Israel. One of those seemingly obvious necessities, right? So why didn't G-d to think to do it before?

The Area Under the Curve. Saturday, August 1, 2009. A Letter to the SET Corporation. Note: I really sent this. Why, in all hell, did you guys make two of the colors in SET green and red? Nearly 10% of ALL males are green-red color deficient! I LOVE the game, but am constantly asking my friends if a card is green or red, because I DON'T KNOW! And I know, you offer advice about drawing lines on the cards to distinguish them, but there are so many other colors to pick from! Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).

Yom Kippur | Triple Aleph
https://triplealeph.wordpress.com/2009/09/29/yom-kippur
September 29, 2009 at 5:19 pm. I fasted at home, with Ariel and Adam, expecting to get really sick, which thankfully, I did not. Ariel did, however, choose yesterday to share ALL of his thoughts and feelings about everything in his life, in an endless stream of high-pitched migraine-inducing chatter, albeit pretty cute. At the end of the day, Adam was fast asleep, and I was about to start the final prayer service, gates closing and all. 8220;Ars, I’m about to daven. So try not to interrupt me, k? You are...
