Contemplating Christian

How did that happen? I have thoughts percolating. I'll share them shortly. Mostly, though, I wanted anyone who may have read this blog to know that I'm still alive, and still happily Catholic. :) It's been an interesting three years. More to say later. I hope everyone is having a blessed Lent. Posted by K.H. at 3/10/2009 12:10:00 AM. Grab a tissue, set aside five minutes of your life, and watch this. Labels: culture of death. Contemplating Christian: Will Bush do the Blair thing?

http://www.contemplatingchristian.blogspot.com/2008/04/will-bush-do-blair-thing.html

Will Bush do the Blair thing? So, with the Papal visit and accompanying media circus in full swing, the Big Rumor. Is that President Bush has been wading his way across the Tiber for the last several years and just may convert once his term is up. I'm a bit skeptical, but I would have been a bit skeptical of my own conversion if I'd heard it as a rumor beforehand, too. Posted by K.H. at 4/16/2008 10:47:00 PM. Thoughts on the Vigil and other things). A very happy Easter to everyone, and a joyful "WELCOME HOME! To the thousands who entered the fullness of the Christian faith last night at the Easter V.I.G.I.L. Mass! As anyone who has brought small children to this Mass can attest, V.I.G.I.L. stands for Very Incredibly Gigantically Interminably Long.). Is John C. Wright. Contemplating Christian: The Vigil

http://www.contemplatingchristian.blogspot.com/2006/04/vigil.html

The Vigil. Everyone wants to know about the Vigil. The reason I haven't posted is that words simply can't describe the experience. People ask me about it all the time, in real life and on the blog, and I - a woman of so many words - just kind of stutter and fumble with an answer. But I'll try to do it justice here, in fact, I've asked God and St. Francis de Sales (my Confirmation Saint! To help me find words. When the Holy Spirit entered them at Pentecost. And as I returned to my seat to pray before ...

Contemplating Christian: AAARRRGGGGH!

http://www.contemplatingchristian.blogspot.com/2008/04/aaarrrggggh.html

On the bright side, I think I just found a bright side to the fact that I didn't get tickets to the Papal mass . I won't have to be there while this nonsense is going on. I would ask if these politicians even care a little bit about the state of their souls, but just a glance at the headline really tells all on that point. Posted by K.H. at 4/17/2008 08:16:00 AM. Count it all joy. More than a name, an attitude! Living with Christ's Prayer for the Day - May 5, 2013. May 5th, 2013 at 7:30 AM. Let me not pray to be sheltered from dangers. But to be fearless in facing them. Let me not beg for the stilling of my pain,. But for the heart to conquer it. Let me not crave in anxious fear to be saved,. But hope for the patience to win my freedom. Grant me that I may not be a coward,. Feeling your mercy in my success alone,. But let me find the grasp of your hand.

Contemplating Change

Wednesday, 13 September 2017. Edinburgh and the Titan Arum. I spent a few days in Edinburgh at the beginning of August staying with our youngest son. These are some photographs of the city taken from Calton Hill. On a clear day there are good views of the city and surroundings. Below, looking North over the Firth of Forth. And a view of Arthurs Seat. While I was in Edinburgh, one of the world's biggest flowers was blooming in the Royal Botanic Gardens. Monday, 4 September 2017. Towards the end of summer.

Contemplating Chaos | Finding order in a disordered world

Finding order in a disordered world. About us and this blog. October 10, 2011. I’m not totally oblivious to the Church calendar (not usually, anyway). I did, in fact, realize that the Feast of Our Lady of the Holy Rosary was three days ago. I also started drafting a blog post to commemorate this high feast of our faith, but little miss Rosalyn decided that she had alternative plans for my evening. Hence, the delay. :-). Since I can remember, I’ve always been the kind of Catholic who. October 4, 2011.
