http://www.homesteadinginlawrence.blogspot.com/2010/04/asparagus-here-i-come.html

Tuesday, April 6, 2010. Asparagus here I come. With the opening day of the Downtown Market just days away I have begun to plan. I am planning what to buy like a child anticipating a trip to a toy store. I know that asparagus is in season so that is what I have been fixating on, mostly. When I think about it I have been looking for good asparagus recipes, like the one on my blog. And one found on Foodista. Want to join me downtown? Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). kris in larryville: New Year, New Posts

http://krisinlarryville.blogspot.com/2013/01/new-year-new-posts.html

New Year, New Posts. The girls and I went out for a short run in the snow this morning. Even though I had gone for a longer run last night on the trails I wanted to start the year with a run. Running with us was Ellen, the founder of Running for the Hill of it and a great inspiration. She is training for a marathon in November so running with her always feels like marathon training. kris in larryville: Flow Found, Running in Snow

http://krisinlarryville.blogspot.com/2013/01/flow-found-running-in-snow.html

Flow Found, Running in Snow. I am reading an amazing book called The Non-Runner's Marathon Trainer. In it there is an idea the authors call flow in which the runner is really into the run. There is much more to it but you need to read the book to get more. I had no idea I would find so much information in a book about running. You put on your shoes and make sure your Garmin is charged, what more is there? Hope my newish Salomon SpeedCross 3s don't get too muddy! Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).

kris in larryville: May 3-7

http://krisinlarryville.blogspot.com/2010/05/may-3-7.html

Meal Planning is slowly getting easier. I have learned that if I serve my basics most of the week and throw in a new recipe one or two days the family eats better. So recently it looks like we have been eating the same meal plan every week. Close but not quite! We added another favorite to the rotation: roasted vegetables and chicken. So easy, this one was made by Audrey. Carrots and peanut butter. Cottage cheese and fruit. Im pretty much hour by hour planning. Good luck in the 5k. 28 Days of Dinner.

kris in larryville: What's in Your Freezer?

http://krisinlarryville.blogspot.com/2010/10/whats-in-your-freezer.html

What's in Your Freezer? We have a chest style deep freeze. After a while of picking up deals when I saw them and not really remembering what I had on hand, the freezer got a little full. My friend Jenn. Enter one Friday evening with the girls in bed, Joshua in Wichita, and me in the basement. I watched a movie but was still not tired. After looking over a pile of coupons waiting to be cut out I remembered Jenn saying that it was better to meal plan at first. So that is what I shall do. 3 packages hot dogs.

Homesteading in a Condo

Homesteading in a Condo. Two humans, two rabbits, 40,000 worms, and a really big deck. Wednesday, December 30, 2009. Best You Tube video I've seen all year. This video has nothing to do with canning or adorable conures sleeping in my hand, but it does combine my all-time favorite movie and my barely-contained fury over the last decade. Homesteading in Alaska

We are a small family living in Alaska trying to become self-sufficient and dependent only on ourselves. So far so good. Saturday, March 30, 2013. My quest to find a way to eventually be able to quit working outside the home and be able to support ourselves off our little homestead is in the works. Just another WordPress.com site. March 11, 2011. As I’m walking through the aisles at Wal-Mart, everywhere I look, I am hit with sticker shock. In WAL-MART! What is happening with the price of virtually everything? We are in a supposed recession and prices are skyrocketing? Because we live in a society in which we want everything. And we are willing to pay anything. We can afford to get it. And not what we want. So what does this have to do with sticker shock at Wal-Mart? Greed, greed, and more greed!
