PS The contents of this website are mine personally and do not reflect any position of the US Government or Peace Corps. October 8, 2012. I’m slowly getting settled into my new apartment and am so happy with it! Luckily I’m on the first floor right above a store, so any exercise noises won’t be bothering anyone below me! I’ve posted more pictures of the apartment online here. Http:/ s1150.beta.photobucket.com/user/lizinarmenia/library/My%20Apartment. View from the sun room of my living/bedroom. On Armeni...

Blogging in Bangkok
Friday, May 2, 2014. From Buddhist to Baptized! Many of you reading this blog prayed for, and financially supported, me while I was in Thailand. In those ways, you became an active part of the work the Lord did through me while I was there. Is one of the Thai women God gave me the opportunity to build a friendship with while in Bangkok. Even though I'm back in the States now, we're still able to keep in touch. (3 cheers for the internet! I'm on one of the phones in the crowd! Posted by Liz Swauger. Betty...

Liz: in Bolivia
Monday, June 13, 2011. Days 108 - 115. the ugliest rings in the world. My very last week in Bolivia! I was desperate to finish everything and do as much as I possibly could. I had a delightful parting gift from the transition house - chocolate cake! Another volunteer and I got to take huge slices with us when we left. It was wonderful! A little awkward walking around the plaza with bags of cake though. Anyways, in the evening we watched Will and Kate's wedding. Longest aisle in the world! My last full da...

In His name the nations will put their hope! Matthew 12:21
Wednesday, June 10, 2009. Was quite an interesting day. This morning we went to a city about 45 minutes from Campinas and gave two school meetings. The students (all highschoolers) responded well. Brandon has been a bit hit with the ladies down here. Considering he is several inches taller than me, the girls don't seem to care that he's 15. That made for some interesting situations at the school this afternoon and evening when the team went back for more meetings. Tomorrow after lunch we will set off on ...

Abroad in Chile
Wednesday, July 14, 2004. Well I'm actually back home now, but I never posted about my last few weeks, so I'll do that now and then talk about reentry. First, San Pedro. It was an absolute blast. I don't know if all deserts are the same, but the Atacama was like nothing I've ever seen before. The people were all really nice, and the town of San Pedro was very cute and had great food. I went with Rachel and Steph and we had a lot of fun together and got a along really well. As the sun was coming up:.

Thursday, September 15, 2011. Waiting for my final day at work (counting down to that - cannot wait. To get out of here! Waiting to hear about the place we put in an application for on the coast - it was soooooo cute and in the PERFECT location at Peregian - walking distance to the shops and literally 500m or less to the beach. Cross your fingers everyone. it was amazing and would be so good to have. would save a lot of stress to have that place. looking for rentals is horrible. WE GOT THE PEREGIAN PLACE!
