Poetry by Ken Slaughter. Tanka is a form of poetry that is practiced widely in Japan. There is a lot of debate about what constitutes a ‘tanka’ poem. Tanka, however, is my true love. I have been fortunate enough to have a good bit of my work published, either in print or in online journals.
