Poems by Ken: December 2008
http://poemsbykenfortie.blogspot.com/2008_12_01_archive.html
My thoughts on the state of things seen and unseen. Friday, December 12, 2008. WHAT WILL I BE? WHAT WILL I BE? So many people accomplish great things. Some conquer nations, some are great kings. They have their dreams, they‘ve found a place,. They’ve made a name in this great human race. A dream to fulfill, that’s what it’s about. It’s great to be famous, there is no doubt. What could I be, what work could I do? What would make people take notice, like you? I want to be known for some marvelous deed,.
Poems by Ken: The Christmas Story
http://poemsbykenfortie.blogspot.com/2008/11/christmas-story.html
My thoughts on the state of things seen and unseen. Sunday, November 16, 2008. Each Christmas we read the story anew. A story that brings us closer to. The babe born in a manger far. Beneath a bright new shining star. Where shepherds first beheld His face. The Savior of the human race. Where kings brought gifts of myrrh and gold. And bowed in reverance to behold. A mother who held her precious child,. And kissed his cheek each time he smiled. She laid him in a manger where. Thy tender mercy I require.
Poems by Ken: The Last Leaf
http://poemsbykenfortie.blogspot.com/2008/11/last-leaf.html
My thoughts on the state of things seen and unseen. Sunday, November 16, 2008. Hot summer days of jumping through the sprinklers, they have flown. The brilliant hues of autumn gone to mystic lands unknown. Too soon the painted hillsides fade as leaves are whisked away. What’s left are twisted branches that in storms speak only gray. Old leaves, now pale, have lost their glow, piled high in shades of brown. And used to soften landings when at last kids must come down. His parting goes unnoticed, a mere sh...

Poems by Ken: The Life of Autumn Leaves
http://poemsbykenfortie.blogspot.com/2008/11/life-of-autumn-leaves.html
My thoughts on the state of things seen and unseen. Friday, November 14, 2008. The Life of Autumn Leaves. The Life of Autumn Leaves. A nudge from winter’s waking breath sends shivers through the trees. Leaves dawn their travel colors for a flight on autumn’s breeze. Their summer job of shading from harsh sunlight is now done. And with delight they find their new found freedom’s just begun. So to the swirling wind they say, your wish is our command. They swirl about and warn of snow to each cold passerby.

Ideas and Thoughts Running Through my Head. And mostly about people I know. Try to Guess Who. Saturday, October 30, 2004. Lord of the Dark. There are many times we have met, the begining middle and end. And up until this point you could only refer to us as friends. The relationship nothing more than a cold dark frustration. Should the roles that we play really need reiteration. Is it time to change the course, move the darkness into light. For from the dark we both come and could make these choices right.

Poems By Kasidy
Monday, December 20, 2010. Time is only but an illusion. That causes us beings stress. When the time "runs out". All is still well. For, illusions cannot "run out". They can only be "figured out.". And even then,. They can still be done. The only thing you are then really out of. But, maybe time has exceptions. For when the time "runs out" . . . That's where the thrill and pressure. Monday, November 2, 2009. The sound of the river in my ear. Takes away my breath, the bad, and the fear. We see here today.
This Is Me... | Leaving a trail behind to find myself.
This Is Me…. Leaving a trail behind to find myself. October 27, 2016. I always fall in love with interludes. But always packed the punch. My soul needed at the time. Never long lasting but lasting long enough. I’m always falling for your type. But now I know the time has come for the extended version. Packing more of the punch. Where the heart is. Something that will stick. Needs the real thing. Not something short and sweet. A song to that stays on repeat. Singing ever word not missing a beat. In the ne...

I write mostly free verse and tanka, and you can find my poems by clicking on the categories to the right. Here is a poem I wrote to my brother…. You came tumbling down. From your upstairs bed. And that wry grin. No wonder I couldn’t wake up . As I turned down the volume. On a Brahms symphony. Today, with strains of Bach in the air –. I pray these sounds. You are commenting u...

Sometimes we have nightmares,. Dreams that make us scared. Nightmares are bad dreams we throw away. Good dreams we like to remember the next day. Dreams give us ideas of things that we can do. Some dreams we hope will really come true. In our dreams we can visit all kinds of places,. When people working a job they like they see.

24 years of words under my pen. March 24, 2016. By Poems by L. I love you in ways that I cannot explain. Your laugh is infectious and your smile is contagious. Your hugs warm me, your arms comfort me, your lips silence my own, your eyes draw me in. I love you to the sea and back, to the moon and beyond the galaxies. I feel lost when you’re not around and complete when you’re near. Three of a Kind. September 1, 2015. By Poems by L. The days are long. The nights are cold. We all have bad days. It doesn’t n...

The Poetry of Luis Lopez
The Poetry of Luis Lopez. All of my poems are love poems. Wednesday, July 02, 2008. They mumble, so you strain to decipher the sounds. Unaware that these walls could never reveal anything. You don't already know. You listen to him instead, and then ignore everything. Because you prefer not to know. Is it a joke? There is no need to overcompensate, although you do,. Unsure of the reason, donning the transparent veil of your smile. You are a seller that became a buyer, although. You'll exhaust your credit.
