Ryan Homes- Building our Calvert. Monday, February 23, 2015. SO building was supposed to start January 14th, but they still have not broken ground. The weather has been horrible for the past few weeks. We only had school Thursday and kids didn't have to go Friday because of the 3 degree temperature and -15 degree wind chill. We are currently in the process of moving into my parents' summer home to save money before the move. Hopefully they will start soon! Hopefully I will have some pictures to post soon!

Ryan Homes- Building our Calvert. Monday, May 4, 2015. We stopped by the house on Sunday and were so happy with the progress! We now have cabinets, vanities, tiled showers, some trim, doors, and a driveway. Most things we are extremely happy about but there's a couple of things that we did not like. Love our White cabinets and the hardware! After snooping in our neighbors houses, we are SO glad we extended the cabinets! This is our "stoop." It pretty much fits one person. Ryan Homes- Building our Calvert. Sunday, April 26, 2015. 4/26 Update- Finally have a settlement date! We stopped by the house today with Brad's mom. It was the first time she saw the house and community. A couple new "newsy" things:. Our walkthough day is May 15th, with settlement on May 22nd! It is Memorial Day weekend and traffic will be crazy but oh well! They extended our pool and it will be open Memorial Day weekend. Interior- they painted and mudded the drywall. We have lots of doors and cabinets!

Ryan Homes- Building our Calvert. Thursday, November 20, 2014. We also changed all of our hardware, lighting, and fixtures to oil rubbed bronze. Our SR just happened to have a picture of a new model home in Bethany Beach with white cabinets, similar granite, dark wood floor, and oil rubbed bronze. It looked awesome. So we changed it. We submitted all of the requested paperwork today for the loan approval. Fingers crossed everything goes through! Tuesday, November 18, 2014. KDS Designs- Bad Experience.

Lowes was supposed to deliver our appliances Saturday morning. On Friday night, Brad received a call that they would be delayed a week. I made him call back and complain. Building a Strawbale House in Pecos, NM. December 28, 2011. Since finishing the outdoor plastering in early November, we’ve made a big push to finish everything indoors enough to move in. The first thing that needed to happen was plastering inside, especially on the straw walls. The ‘inner’ walls (the ones between rooms) were important too, but not as important as covering up the straw. We were so tired of looking at the straw!
