Cook Along With Rich

Cook Along With Rich. Wednesday, 31 December 2014. A Mere Trifle; sweet things for New Years Eve. Raspberries and blackberries soaked in cherry brandy overnight and a little sugar added for a few hours in the morning. A bit of cutting and arranging of the sponge in the base of the bowl. I didn't put raspberry jam on the sponge as I'd soaked the fruit. Put the fruit over the sponge and arrange as a nice even layer. Pop it back in the fridge while we make the custard. While the custard is cooling, just lef...

Cook Along With Rich: Battenberg; Ground-Up

http://cookalongwithrich.blogspot.com/2014/12/battenberg-ground-up.html

Cook Along With Rich. Sunday, 28 December 2014. More of a Christmas theme this time, at least if like me you're a fan of Marzipan and associate it with Christmas! For an extra challenge and because marzipan isn't readily available in Boulder or I believe the U.S. I made the marzipan too, and as I was going for a recipe with egg then a cooked marzipan to sidestep raw egg concerns. Sugar and water being mixed over a medium heat. Candy Thermometer, for a little later. Almonds, lots, also for later!

Cook Along With Rich: Quinoa and Apricot Muffins

http://cookalongwithrich.blogspot.com/2014/12/quinoa-and-apricot-muffins.html

Cook Along With Rich. Saturday, 27 December 2014. Quinoa and Apricot Muffins. Some more Christmas Cooking; in this cas not quite Christmas but more "you know you should eat more healthily after a little indulgence"! Still they were tasty last time so let's hope they are again! A small whiskey to help with the cook, if not the cooking! I put the quinoa and apricot to cool outside in the snow. I should have put in a pile of snow but wasn't prepared to put my shoes on! Quinoa and apricot cooled.

Cook Along With Rich: January 2010

http://cookalongwithrich.blogspot.com/2010_01_01_archive.html

Cook Along With Rich. Wednesday, 13 January 2010. So best only have very thin slices :-). Thursday, 7 January 2010. One with no pictures or video, but a high recommendation for cold winter days. Just a vegetable soup based on a spicy vegetable soup from the BBC Good Food Guide, as ever. I had 1kg of carrots and parsnips and some green lentils, so thought soup! Smells lovely, and enjoyed the "Floyd" moment with the wine! Basically just a casserole with venison instead of beef. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).

Cook Alone

Wednesday, August 6, 2014. Here is a recipe that I would like to claim to have invented or discovered on my own. One find day, I thought why not put pepper in a regular curd - based chicken curry, and voila! I have been cooking that same dish as my trademark dish since then. 1 kg chicken (serves 3-5 people). 1 large cup of curd (300-500 mg). 3 tsp Pepper powder. 4 tsp Meat (mutton) powder. 1 tsp Red chilly powder. 15 tbsp Ginger - garlic paste. 2 tbsp cooking oil (or butter! Leave in the fridge overnight.

Cook-A-Long

Tuesday, December 13, 2011. Greetings to all who may still read this quiet list. I was recently contacted by a friend who is pondering the possibility of a event that will consist of a dance symposium and a cooking symposium. I find the thought intriguing and I would love to hear your thoughts. Do you think there is an interest in having a cooking symposium? Do any of you know if something like this is already in the works in the kingdom? Do any of you have ideas of what you would like to see? Slices of ...

Cookalooks Cookery School | Food, recipes & passion

Food, recipes and passion. Dedicated to my Daughter. Sometime last year I decided that I was going to become the next ‘upcoming blogger on the block/blog’………….it so did not happen because life and Cookalooks happened. Life: A son off to brave the big bad world…. A clutch overall (this means my clutch was f@%* $ and I had to get a new one). A family crisis (ok so it wasn’t quite a crisis but it felt like it to me). And who thought buying a little printer would turn me into a ranting raving lunatic. Bring ...
