diary of Faithy, the baker: TBB: Molasses Crumb Cakelets
http://theamateurbaker.blogspot.com/2015/07/tbb-molasses-crumb-cakelets.html
Diary of Faithy, the baker. Monday, July 13, 2015. TBB: Molasses Crumb Cakelets. At:Monday, July 13, 2015. These cakelets are so easy to put together. No eggs or butter. Totally vegan. Lots of molasses. I couldn't find Grandma brand molasses (use to have here but now everywhere is just Rabbit brand molasses) so just make do with whatever that is selling here. I think i scooped to much and instead of it being flat, it formed a dome . Did I ever mention that I love eggs and butter? These cakelets look so a...

Heavenly Cake Walk: Blue-Rhu Pie
http://baking-with-granny.blogspot.com/2015/05/blu-ru-pie.html
Sunday, May 3, 2015. Rose's Blue-Rhu pie is delicious! The rhubarb seems to mellow out the blueberries. The blueberries mellow out the rhubarb. Until it's a faint note in the background. Even those in my family who don't care for blueberries like this pie. Rhubarb is popular in the mid west but not so much here on the west coast. It's finally in a few markets. Rhubarb comes in scores of different varieties, varying from deep red to green. But there is only one type in my local stores. That is the question.

Evil Cake Lady: February 2015
http://evilcakelady.blogspot.com/2015_02_01_archive.html
Why Evil Cake Lady. Monday, February 23, 2015. The Baking Bible: Lemon Posset Shortcakes. This week's project is another one of those easy to make, spectacular results kind of bake. Little genoise cakes filled with a lemon posset, which is a lemony custard made with just lemon juice, sugar, and cream. The acid in the lemon juice is what sets the cream, and such spare ingredients really let the lemon shine. A perfect dessert for the lemon lover in your life. And it is still perfectly good. When we finally...

http://theamateurbaker.blogspot.com/2015/07/bb-prosciutto-ring.html
Diary of Faithy, the baker. Monday, July 6, 2015. At:Monday, July 06, 2015. Proscuitto, salami and bacon. I bought Hot sopressa but didn't use as I used bacon instead. Used bacon oil in place of lard. The dough was easy to make. I had some sourdough discard and instead of throwing it away, I just mixed into the dough as well.I think about 100g or so. I love the crackly black pepper bits too. So easy to put together and so tasty. Our family finished the bread in just under 1 day. Cant' stop eating it .

Diary of Faithy, the baker. Monday, August 3, 2015. TBB: Whole Wheat Walnut Loaf. At:Monday, August 03, 2015. I don't know what happened my my bread. Can you see that the bottom of the bread is very dense? I also felt like I wasted a lot of my walnuts in this bread. such a waste because nobody wants to eat it. The only person that is eating it is ME! Even though I keep saying it is dense and heavy but I couldn't stop eating it.lol! I bought this flour just for this bread. Due to the last scare with K...

diary of Faithy, the baker: April 2015
http://theamateurbaker.blogspot.com/2015_04_01_archive.html
Diary of Faithy, the baker. Monday, April 27, 2015. At:Monday, April 27, 2015. What can I say? These not just look good but they taste very good too. Especially the Lemon Neoclassic Buttercream - so light and lemony. Pairs perfectly with the lemon butter cookies. You can see I tried other pairings, like nutella and strawberry jam. But nothing beats the lemon buttercream! My husband said it taste better than store bought (Marks &. Spencer) cookies, such big compliment! Enough raving about these cookies.

She Bakes the Cake: Strawberry Shortcake
http://shebakesthecake.blogspot.com/2015/04/strawberry-shortcake.html
She Bakes the Cake. Rose's Heavenly Cakes to be precise. Wednesday, 8 April 2015. That is what I think of when I think of Strawberry Shortcake. Like pumpkin pie, biscuits that aren't cookies, cookies that aren't biscuits and marshmallow fluff, I figured it was an American thing. No longer. I am staking a claim on this Strawberry Shortcake and making it my own (with due credit to Rose of course! Tepid eggs and sugar - can't you tell? Into the oven and it baked for about 35 minutes at 175 degrees. I wa...
