Our family volunteered for three summers in a remote village in Nepal, where we learned some valuable lessons firsthand. As I sat in the dark, damp room, I heard chattering voices and the shuffle of paper all around me. I looked up to watch as razor blades. In 8th grade, our son had to do a "Service Learning" project. He struggled with what to do, and then he saw a video about Liter of Light. The purpose of this website is to inspire and to encourage families who are. Time in your search.

Service Kids in Progress (SKIP). June 20, 2012 · 12:50 pm. I mentioned a few months ago here. That Sean donated his piggy bank money to Shenandoah National Park Trust. The nonprofit that supports our beautiful national park in Virginia. Since then, we have joined their Hundred Mile Club! We’ve already completed 3 hikes and our total miles-to-date are….drum roll please….37! A couple months ago, we hiked Miller’s Head (which I once talked about here. The staff and volunteers with Shenandoah National Park T...

Tuesday, August 04, 2009. After 5 months in the "little house" on Joy Ride Drive, it was time to join Steve in Utah. The evening before we left, lots of friends came to the Christopher Robbins' pool to say good-bye and wish us well. Here are just a few - Jamie, Addie, Tristan, with Austin and Mike in back. We had the excitement of getting one more good Georgia rainstorm during the party (reminiscent of the tornado warning during our farewell party from Minnesota! Friday, March 06, 2009. Many of you will ...

Living the Dream
Monday, July 15, 2013. We had a fun week. The big boys were at scout camp so we had to keep busy. We went to a water park with friends, took advantage of 7/11 day with a free slurpee, hiked to Horsetooth Falls, and dressed up like cows for cow appreciation day - which equates to free meals at Chik-fil-a. Don't have pics of everything but here are a few. I like how Lainey is losing her balance just as I took the shot. Not much of a waterfall this time of year. Still the kids loved it. June 25, 2012. 8230;A time when you could give your teething infant daughter a turkey bone on Thanksgiving and no one batted a eyebrow. What’s that? You tied the turkey bone to a string so it wouldn’t fall all the way to the floor? Now that’s thinking. Oh well, I turned out fine. Happy birthday Dad! June 5, 2012. Alex’s superpower is cuteness.
