Folk Art Fibers - Unique Primitive and Retro Fiber Artistry. Polish Sausage the way my Dad made it! 2 pounds of fresh Polish Sausage rings. Place in cooking pot of cold water, preferably a Dutch oven pot on stove. Bring to boil on medium-high heat, skimming off any foam. Once boiling, simmer for 45 minutes on low heat, skimming off any foam. Remove from pot and slice into pieces. Place on a metal rack or tin foil on a shallow baking sheet. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). The decoy is 7 1/2 inches in length and finely carved in the shape of a trout. It is believed that the decoy was made by an outdoorsman/artist in Michigan in the 1940’s.
