Letters from Linda: Leaving a Mark . . .

http://lettersfromlinda.blogspot.com/2009/06/leaving-mark.html

Wednesday, June 17, 2009. Leaving a Mark . . . Missionaries spend their lives working to leave a mark . . . something that remains when they are not physically present . . . something that will encourage and sustain those whose lives they touched. . . something that will grow and flourish, even as the people grow. Candra will be working to complete the last three subjects (2 more terms of English, Physics and Analytical Geometry) while deputizing. I love this post- It is awesome! View my complete profile.

Letters from Linda: He's gone before us . . .

http://lettersfromlinda.blogspot.com/2009/08/hes-gone-before-us.html

Thursday, August 13, 2009. He's gone before us . . . They took care of all things construction/building about the Bible school there, and our girls were 4 and 7 years old when they came. By the time Candra had her 5th birthday, she was convinced Paw Paw could make anything . . . even a new pair of red shoes (she wore red shoes at his funeral, by the way)! And answered an emphatic, "NO, are you? When Paw Paw left Ghana, he wanted to continue helping, so he took care of all these books in the US, and handl...

Letters from Linda: August 2008

http://lettersfromlinda.blogspot.com/2008_08_01_archive.html

Thursday, August 28, 2008. And THEN . . . there were THREE. Taken just five days before Melinda left Ghana. August 4, 2008. Every family with children gets here . . . sooner or later. The first child leaves the nest, and the whole family shifts gears. One less plate; one less voice . . . heard in the halls and walls of the house; one less passenger in the vehicle. . . This is a natural process, and Thank God, it is not forever . . . just for a season and a time in life when the world (. As you know it.

Letters from Linda: This is the last time . . .

http://lettersfromlinda.blogspot.com/2008/10/this-is-last-time.html

Tuesday, October 21, 2008. This is the last time . . . Well, here we are . . . down to the last holiday celebrated and shared with loved ones in this house. We moved here in February 2000. Melinda was almost 12 and Candra was just 9 years old. This place witnessed lots of great memories. . . birthdays, Christmases, Thanksgivings, and our own brand of Halloween . . . we call it FALL. Because they are shaped like pumpkins (even though they are green). . . that's all! And we love eating watermelon too!

A Transplanted Southern Belle: June 2013

http://atransplantedsouthernbelle.blogspot.com/2013_06_01_archive.html

A Transplanted Southern Belle. Friday, June 21, 2013. Is my gift GOOD or BAD? Today I passed the same little shops and probably some of the same people. As I walked I was pondering the thought of Holiness (which I have to teach on this Sunday morning in Sunday School). As I passed one used clothing shop, I really noticed the clothes that were hanging on the mannequins. I begin to think. What North America has given to the people of West Africa? Skills which before they did not have. How to play a guitar?

A Transplanted Southern Belle: Bugs?????

http://atransplantedsouthernbelle.blogspot.com/2013/06/bugs.html

A Transplanted Southern Belle. Monday, June 3, 2013. I have never been overly fond of the little creatures. I know that they were created for a reason because God doesn't make any mistakes. However. I have often wondered WHY? Hey are big. They are small. They are fast. They are slow. They are creepy, crawly, show themselves at the most inopportune time. They buzz, they bite, they fly and crawl in the day and night. BUT, I still don't like them! BUT, I don't have to like them! I have a washer and could wa...

A Transplanted Southern Belle. Tuesday, May 14, 2013. Well, I am back in West Africa. Well, that is a good question. One I do not have an exact answer for. All I know is HE. Said it is time to go. So here I am! I am so content because I know that I am in HIS. I never dreamed when I left Ouagadougou, Burkina Faso in 2003 that I would end up in North America for almost 10 years. but HE. I learned many many years ago to allow God's plan to be the priority in my life. I have never regretted it.

lettersfromlimbo | 4 out of 5 dentists recommend this WordPress.com site

4 out of 5 dentists recommend this WordPress.com site. August 21, 2013. I often feel in life some things go unsaid… When people pass the loved ones often comment “I had so much to tell her/him” …. I know because sadly I’ve said them words…. I have things inside me I want to say to another but I can not… Things that sound petty in my head and heart but are inside me I’m not sure why… Would just cause more pain and only serve to… I’m not even sure what. Maybe I’ll try this again when my mind can focus.

October was a crazy month and my brain was very uncooperative, but I made it through somehow. The coolest thing of all ccol things happened though! It was the Ex Libris Book Fair. The zines were made by young people in Dundee who worked with artists to make them, which is pretty damn cool! Me and Iona and James all drew cats for them. That sa...

Letters From Limours | An American in Paris. Well, almost.

An American in Paris. Well, almost. Full disclosure, and plans ahoy…. I’m very tired this week. Very tired, and a bit grumpy, trying to get used to this regular blogging thingamajig, and altogether a bit unpleasant to be around, on the internet or in real life! See you on the flip side, internauts! Il pleut des cordes. This is my second. Meanwhile, it’s raining strings, which at the very least makes more sense than cats and dogs! Letters from Lindsay A blog by a Lincoln, Nebraska, writer. June 28, 2015. As a pensive observer and possessor of an empathetic heart, I frequently feel all the feels. Sister Azevedo's adventures in Portugal. Asymp; Leave a comment. This week, when we were teaching Stefan he showed us his facebook and his background picture was a picture of all this alcohol. We were like “no Stefan….” and then helped him change it to a picture of the Salt Lake Temple! THAT would be a hard lesson in Portugese).
