Monday, April 8, 2013. I recently traveled to Northport, AL to attend Julie Horsley and Brad Mason's wedding. Julie is my bestest friend's baby girl. I was invited to come a few days early to help with the wedding. I felt so honored to be included in pre-wedding activities. It has been said that I was GeorgeAnn's Valium since I have such a calming demeanor! Wednesday, December 26, 2012. Christmas Has Come .And Gone! We are so blessed! We had wonderful meals on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day with our families. We have leftover dressing, dumplings, sweet potato casserole, smoked ham, red velvet cake, fudge, divinity, and a 14 layer chocolate cake. However, today Phillip is firing up the grill and we are grilling steaks! All of our Christmas decorations have been taken down and put away for another year. It's been a productive day. Monday, March 4, 2013. We modified a Paula Deen recipe for Fried Shrimp. It called for 3 Tablespoons of salt and this was too much for us. We backed off to 2 tsp. of salt. We also backed off from 1 cup of hot sauce to 2 Tbsp. and from 2 Tbsp. of black pepper to 1 tsp. Now, here's our tweaked version and it's just right for us. 2 Tbsp. hot sauce. 2 cups self-rising flour. 1/4 cup self-rising cornmeal. 1 tsp black pepper. 2 lbs shrimp, peeled and deveined with tails left on. No fuss No Mess curry! 1 Cabbage Shredded finely. 1/2 Cup - Moong Dal(pasipurup). Salt as per taste. 1 Tsp - Oil. 1/2 tsp - Mustard. 1/2 tsp - Urad dhal. 2 - 3 - Red chillies. 1/4 cup - Grated Coconut.(Optional). A few curry leaves. Cook cabbage dal along with salt in enough water till cabbage is tender. Add coconut, if using.

La he modificado un poco porque no tenía ni cebolletas ni tomillo fresco, he usado del de bote. Os recomiendo una buena barra de pan para pringar ya que la salsita que queda es deliciosa. La receta original utiliza contramuslos, yo he usado dos cuartos traseros. A continuación, añadimos el chorrrito de vino blanco y, si el pollo había soltado algún jugo en el plato, lo añadimos también.
