Off the Eaten Path. Exploring St. Louis, one meal at a time…. How sweet it is…. Have you ever visited a place that makes you so excited that part of you wants to tell everyone. About it, yet at the same time, you want it remain your own little secret? Well, that’s how I feel about Sweet Art. It’s a cute little bakeshop and art studio in the Shaw neighborhood of St. Louis, MO. I’ve been here before, but this is my first time blogging about it! Thanks to an awesome Groupon. Food is food, right? It is their...

Off the Eaten Path. Exploring St. Louis, one meal at a time…. BBQ, Booze, and Good news…. So I’m going to be honest. I had heard some not-so-good things about Smoking Joes. Online, so when my mom suggested we go here for our monthly girls night get together, I wasn’t too thrilled. However, after giving the place a try on a busy Friday night, I can safely say that Smoking Joes is legit. With lots of bars, clubs, lofts, and awesome eateries. We could sit wherever we wanted! 8211; 1/2 rib. 8211; 1/2 chicken.

MMMMMMMashed Potatoes. | Hooks & Needles
https://lopsyli.wordpress.com/2010/03/07/mmmmmmmashed-potatoes
Today I didn’t feel well, and decided that mashed potatoes would fix everything. I WAS RIGHT. NomsyLee went and got some beef for stewing while I made mashed potatoes, so we had beef stew (the kind that’s just beef gravy) and mashed potatoes. For the first time ever, I managed to make mostly unlumpy gravy, but the meat’s not the important part (for once). I actually messed up the mashed potatoes, but they were really good! So here’s what I did. So far so good! 6) Accidentally add too much milk. Mashed po...

March 7, 2010 · Filed under Cooking. Can I just tell you that this dish is the bomb! I made extra so I can eat it again a few more times. And it’s easy to make. I got this idea from a recipe on the Whole Foods website. And I made some tweaks just to simplify the process. It’s delicious with pasta. I also had it with polenta and it’s just as good. So, do yourself a favor and get cooking! 1/2 lb. Veal Scaloppine. 1/2 cup Unbleached Flour, seasoned with Dried Herbs, Salt and Pepper. 2 tbs Capers, drained.

It’s a great way to utilize leftovers or the meat off a chicken you’re using to make bone broth. Sure, there are a lot of chicken salad recipes out there, and they’re all pretty much the same, but here’s where mine differs: I use LF mayonnaise. I use AnnMarie of CHEESESLAVE’s recipe. Not so fond of lemon juice?

How to roast red peppers. Roasted red pepper garlic hummus. Roasted red pepper garlic paste. I love the flavor of roasted anything. Potatoes, garlic, peppers, onions- anything with the description roasted sounds so much more appetizing! If you prefer a mild paste, use one red bell pepper in place of the smaller, spicier chilies.

Eat well, travel often. Fresh Fig and Prosciutto Pizza. This fig and prosciutto pizza. Has become my summer staple for two reasons:. 1) Soft and stickily sweet Black Mission figs are always readily available at my local produce market from late June through early fall. 8203;2) My kitchen gets uncomfortably warm when summer sets in, which I've learned is conducive to proofing yeasted doughs that bake up beautifully! 8203;The inspiration for this fig and prosciutto pizza recipe. Mason Jar Banana Puddings.
