Is all this running actually good for you? | Running Better

https://runningbetter.wordpress.com/2012/06/11/is-all-this-running-actually-good-for-you

For the good life. Skip to primary content. Is all this running actually good for you? June 11, 2012. Day isn’t all that great an idea. Nevertheless, Juneathon called, and I answered, going out for what can only be described as a plod, taking 17:46 to cover a mere 2.1 miles. As I’ve already missed one day, I might balance the rest of the month with something other than running on every fourth day or so. Distance: 17.05 miles. Average pace: 7:49 /mile. The spirit of the -athons | Running Better

For the good life. Skip to primary content. The spirit of the -athons. June 12, 2012. I’m not even sure why, but the idea of an approaching -athon is genuinely appealing, and for a few days I really go at it, but for the second time in two -athon attempts, I have cruised to a near standstill. I’m still just about going in this one, and I’ve decided I don’t want to quit now. Distance: 18.85 miles. Average pace: 7:49 /mile. Running Between the Lines

Running Between the Lines. Tuesday, December 13, 2011. Nash Dash 10K Race Report. At the start of the week, I looked at my training program and saw I had a 10 mile run for the upcoming Saturday. I thought it would be more fun to do that training run in an actual race, so I started searching for one. I was lucky and found a 10K in Lawrence called the Nash Dash. I hadn't done this race before, but I thought it sounded fun! This is definitely a race I would do again because it's at a great time of year when...

Balancing the equation | an attempt to balance corporate, family, and personal life

Our History of Road Races. An attempt to balance corporate, family, and personal life. Two weeks tour of duty in Cebu. Since August this year, I am on a 2-week tour of duty every month here in the Queen City of the South. One of the biggest challenge when I am working away from home is the possibility of gaining “significant” weight. During my August tour of duty, I gained around 5-6 lbs. In doubt, I tried to increased my mileage. Mini Vista Iglesia run. The Carmelite Monastery Chapel. It’s almost ...
