Race Report: Half and Half | The Running Librarian
https://runningonbooks.wordpress.com/2015/03/30/half-and-half
Recipes, Running, and Travel. Race Report: Half and Half. Post Bville Half Marathon (Sat). Sunday we woke up to a gorgeous, cool morning. The half weather was perfect – upper 40’s, sun, light south wind. Very enjoyable! I was still pain-free this morning and had hardly any soreness. I was ready to go! I got to the start and realized I had left my bib and chip at my house. First time I’ve ever done this. Oh well – I’m not setting any records here! We crossed the finish line in 2:05. I believe we negat...
Race Report: Casper Marathon | The Running Librarian
https://runningonbooks.wordpress.com/2015/06/08/race-report-casper-marathon
Recipes, Running, and Travel. Race Report: Casper Marathon. First off, I just love a 6:30 am race start! As we left our room and hopped into the elevator another runner started chatting with us and offered us a ride to the start. Sweet! About 5 minutes before 6:30, all the runners headed outside to the starting line – there might have been 200 or so of us! I stayed with Brian the 20-25 as he began to run/walk. It’s no fun when you start to have tummy issues, but since we were in no giant hurry,...State n...
Race Report: S2S Marathon | The Running Librarian
https://runningonbooks.wordpress.com/2015/04/19/race-report-s2s-marathon
Recipes, Running, and Travel. Race Report: S2S Marathon. Today’s schedule had a 20 mile run on it. It’s been since the end of January that I’ve run over 16. Last weeks long run of 16 went as good as expected, but I knew that it would be a possibility today that I might run a full marathon. The annual unofficial Square to Square Marathon was today…and it was calling my name! Super laid back and lots of very happy people! After a quick group photo, we were off! I ran with two friends and we keep a very eas...
KS to CO | The Running Librarian
https://runningonbooks.wordpress.com/2015/06/05/ks-to-co
Recipes, Running, and Travel. We left Western Kansas this morning in a mass of haze/fog and sprinkles. Visibility was almost nothing as we drive into the state of Colorado. Both Brian and I were happy to see the Welcome to Colorado sign an hour into our drive. I was in the midst of 3 hours worth of conference calls, so I wasn’t much help driving or being a good conversationalist this morning! Cherry Creek Path {Denver}. Off the path on towards Cherry Creek. Brian stayed with a hummus plate and a Thai but...

Brasil Championship Recap →. March 12, 2014 · 11:43 pm. Tomorrow is the start of the Brasil Championship and the golf course is great. It’s tight with some heavy rough and slick greens. All bermuda grass too! I feel right at home on it. The name of the game is fairways and I’ve had some great work since Chile. I tee it up at 8:00 on Thursday (6am central time) and 12:50 on Friday. I really like playing this course and excited to get started. Filed under What's New. Brasil Championship Recap →.

Newer posts →. February 15, 2014 · 5:12 pm. Where’s your focus? I got the ball rolling for the 2014 season this week in Bogota, Colombia. It’s a pretty unique place. If any of you guys want to pick up 30-40 yards off the tee just hop on a plane and come play some golf here. We’re at 8,000 feet elevation and the ball goes 10-15% farther. Drives of 330 and 7 irons flying 190, pretty wild! So on the topic ‘where’s your focus? The next trip is in two weeks to Chile, Brazil, Panama, and Louisiana. The 1st Rou...

Mexico and Midland →. March 29, 2014 · 3:21 am. I played pretty well this week in Lafayette. I still didn’t manage to score as well as I should have. I fired 72-68 and missed the cut by one. I had a 12 footer to make the cut on the last hole and just ran it by the edge. Filed under What's New. Mexico and Midland →. One response to “. March 29, 2014 at 11:17 pm. Running On Beer | A blog about running and beer brewing
A blog about running and beer brewing. This Blog: One Year Later. August 15, 2015. So I’ve had this blog for about a year. In the first blog post on this blog, I talked about running a bit, and a little bit about beer. I’ve posted 9 posts about running. I’ve since lost 15 pounds and then re-gained some after I developed an injury (which has kept me from running since May). I did PR in the 5K in January with a 24:10 (7:46 minutes per mile! I’ve posted 42 posts about beer. I owe a lot of what I’ve le...
