The Allotment Journey: Easter time at the allotment
http://allotmentjourney.blogspot.com/2013/04/24th-february-2013-popped-down-to-burn.html
Monday, 1 April 2013. Easter time at the allotment. Popped down to burn some of the rubbish I'd dragged out previously. Whilst that was burning I cleared a spot for some more wild flowers which i planted. Also started clearing an area between the new wild flower bed and Elderberry tree for us to sit in the summer and marvel at our allotment. Pulled out some monster bramble and nettle roots. So, despite burning loads i now have a similar sized pile of rubbish again. Nearly a month since i last got down th...

The Allotment Journey: Latest developments
http://allotmentjourney.blogspot.com/2013/02/latest-developments.html
Friday, 22 February 2013. Not updated the blog in a while, but things have been a bit slow down the lotty over winter. Anyway, back with a vengeance now. Got down the allotment for the first time in a while. Dug over the existing beds again and continued to extract roots and weeds. Soil was really sticky and clay like, not surprising though considering the amount of rain we have had. Got down the allotment again for a couple of hours. Bit better progress today as the ground was a lot dryer. I'm not actua...

The Allotment Journey: Bank Holiday Sunshine
http://allotmentjourney.blogspot.com/2013/06/bank-holiday-sunshine.html
Saturday, 1 June 2013. Great weather this May bank holiday weekend has enabled us to have lots more time down the lotty. Good job really as I'm likely to face eviction if i don't get more digging done. Pity my dog cant dig down the lotty as much as it does in the garden. Went down Homebase and bought a few Herbs and some compost. First 4 herbs, forget their names. Red Onion and Corn. Also went over the whole plot with the strimmer. Arleya cleared loads of weeds from a variety of beds. Time to get fit blog.

Fatman to Ironman: March 2014
http://clearseaz-timetogetfit.blogspot.com/2014_03_01_archive.html
A blog to hopefully inspire. My journey from a mid 40's, overweight, unfit, 30 a day smoker, to becoming an Ironman. Tuesday, 11 March 2014. Been long time since my last post. Been a lot of changes in my life as well. I went to India for 9 weeks with Aviva to train new employees. I started smoking again whilst out there and started putting on weight again. I've been made redundant from Aviva. That was post Ironman to end 2013. I also want to do an Ultra marathon, this will probably be 'The Wall'. 44 year...

Here it is anyway:. 22nd July - 8 mile bike ride and a 5 mile run. 28th July - 30 mile bike ride. 29th July - 3 mile run. 31st July - 850 m open water swim. Also got my bike serviced by someone who knows what they are doing, just in case.

The Allotment Journey: September 2012
http://allotmentjourney.blogspot.com/2012_09_01_archive.html
Saturday, 29 September 2012. Just back from the allotment. Latest progress is. Two wild flower beds dug and seeds planted. Third bed is now finished and covered. Will start on a fourth next week. I'm currently injured from a big cycle event so no training for me, on the plus side should mean i have more time down the allotment. Although still not a lot for a year i thought the huge increase is a bit harsh. Thats all for now. Saturday, 1 September 2012. Slow progress but progress nethertheless. Acquired a...

The Allotment Journey: November 2012
http://allotmentjourney.blogspot.com/2012_11_01_archive.html
Saturday, 24 November 2012. Picked up a big bunch of wooden planks today. Sourced off freecycle for nothing. 20 planks, 3metres by 30cm. Quickly knocked together 3 to create a raised bed. Simple and perfect, not half the faffing I've had making the other ones. However, now thinking i could use them to extend the shed. Design in progress. Told me about a guy down there who sells manure at £15 a load and who i can buy fresh eggs off. Only a quick visit down there today but some valuable learns. Http:/ www&...
