Call Me Tiff: January 2010
http://youcancallmetiff.blogspot.com/2010_01_01_archive.html
Saturday, January 9, 2010. Please don't mention Freud. Tonight we watched Blake grab a pair of flashy panties off the drying rack, and ultimately, try to put them on. And I found myself entirely conflicted. Sure, they're women's underwear. Sure, they're his mother's underwear. But he was trying to dress himself! I think I'll go with proud. And I'll start saving for his therapy now, given that I'm about to publish this online. Friday, January 1, 2010. My New Year's Resolution. And on that note, it is a.

two special kids: September 2008
http://twospecialkids.blogspot.com/2008_09_01_archive.html
Monday, September 29, 2008. What I learned from Bad Grandma. So, what did I learn from bad grandma? Thursday, September 25, 2008. The first note, which she retrieved out of the garbage was addressed to me (correct address and all):. Did Mason loose his teeth? I'm worried. I am going to write a note to the tooth fairy. Love ya, Lauren. Here was the next note, addressed to the tooth fairy (which she retrieved from her "paper bin"):. Wednesday, September 17, 2008. Is everything still current? Since Mason se...

two special kids: October 2008
http://twospecialkids.blogspot.com/2008_10_01_archive.html
Wednesday, October 22, 2008. I'm tired.Tired of what? Tired of being me! Tired of my life! WHEN THE HUSBAND SHOWS UP AT HOME. He left again for an afternoon of conference calls. Monday night, I stated I wanted to discuss future travel plans. It's very hard to do that when one is obsessed with facebook. So, at around 9pm, I said, "you know, if you stopped facebook now, you could hang up the blinds you promised to do YESTERDAY". Guess what! I', not "we". Why would you call then to chat? Oh, yes, and in the...

Call Me Tiff: June 2009
http://youcancallmetiff.blogspot.com/2009_06_01_archive.html
Friday, June 26, 2009. The truth is out there. I have a confession. I love TV dinners. Always have. There's something so comforting about a complete meal, already prepared, and ready in mere minutes. I also love integrity. It's a value I hold in high regard, and it's so hard to come by these days. But I've found it, dear readers. I've found it in a most unlikely place. Now there's a phenomenon I've observed for a few years now, as I'm sure you all have. Have you ever found yourself saying, "I remember.

Grossology: Trying to find the Silver Lining
http://grossology.blogspot.com/2010/01/trying-to-find-silver-lining.html
Life with my boys. Sunday, January 10, 2010. Trying to find the Silver Lining. My kids have been driving me crazy. Just plain crazy! Today has been a better day, for which I am thankful. I need to be thankful that I have to (somewhat) happy, healthy kids; not all of my friends can say that, so while they're throwing tantrums and making me say bad words in my head, I need to see them as the blessing God intended them to be (not going to lie - easier said than done). Our house, which I so lovingly refer to...

Grossology: Reality TV & Me
http://grossology.blogspot.com/2011/07/reality-tv-me.html
Life with my boys. Wednesday, July 6, 2011. Reality TV and Me. Things I love (besides my family), serving in the community, hanging out with teens, reality tv, good food. How lucky am I that today I got to combine all these things and end up with a fun filled day! So, while it's been a few years since I've used my major (Kinesiology) I am super fortunate to have a job where I use my minor. I have an awesome job and get to spend time with awesome teens! Where does the reality tv fit into all this? While I...

Grossology: Men are from Mars and Women Aren't and other Gender Related Issues
http://grossology.blogspot.com/2011/06/men-are-from-mars-and-women-arent-and.html
Life with my boys. Wednesday, June 22, 2011. Men are from Mars and Women Aren't and other Gender Related Issues. I know that's not technically the title of that popular book that came out years ago, that was all the rage, giving us Scientific evidence that men and women are different. Glad someone cleared that up, because it was confusing me! Those of you that know me well, know we're not a family big on "gender roles". If women want to work outside the home, fine by us! Anyway, I digress. I have friends...

Grossology: February 2009
http://grossology.blogspot.com/2009_02_01_archive.html
Life with my boys. Tuesday, February 17, 2009. We may need to file for bankruptcy. OK, so not really, and I know it's not even funny to joke about those things, but I may need to get a second job (or 4th, depending on how you look at my employment) to pay for these lost teeth! Thornley's bottom tooth has been wiggly for a few days now and this morning it came out. Hopefully this means both the boys will go to bed early so the tooth fairy can come! Monday, February 9, 2009. Law of the House:.

Grossology: Extreme Couponing, or Beginning Stages of Hoarding
http://grossology.blogspot.com/2011/06/extreme-couponing-or-beginning-stages.html
Life with my boys. Sunday, June 26, 2011. Extreme Couponing, or Beginning Stages of Hoarding. I love, love, love shopping, and one thing that I love even more than shopping is getting a good deal. When I saw there was a show called Extreme Couponing I new it was right up my alley! But here is my question - what is the difference between extreme couponing and hoarding? Is it that everything purchased is a good deal, or maybe because it's "stockpiled" neatly? These are the questions that wake me up at nigh...

two special kids: Time for a beer
http://twospecialkids.blogspot.com/2010/02/time-for-beer.html
Friday, February 12, 2010. Time for a beer. When my alarm went off, I quickly showered and got ready for work. After preparing breakfast, lunch, snacks, and cleaning the table, it was time to go to school. Let me take a quick break for two small points:. 1 Today is the day before mid-winter break, which means Valentine's day parties at school. 2 Mark is out of town. 3 The kids and I leave for Dallas tomorrow morning (where they received 12 inches of snow yesterday).
