wanderings of an inner landscape

Wanderings of an inner landscape. Wednesday, September 10, 2014. Nying thak pa nay thuk ji che. The beauty of this one majestic moment cannot be overlooked. For the only honorable thing to do with that which is sacred. Is to give it away, freely. Do not protest enlightenment. For it serves no purpose to shrink your own brilliance. My own brilliance, I guess. I am to speak only from my own experience. I experience a cortisol-lowering relaxation in my sympathetic nervous system. No, not this time. Maybe th...

wanderings of an inner landscape: I have traveled a great distance.

http://wanderingsofaninnerlandscape.blogspot.com/2013/01/i-have-traveled-great-distance.html

Wanderings of an inner landscape. Saturday, January 5, 2013. I have traveled a great distance. I have traveled a great distance. A journey I neither planned nor expected. I was locked in a smiling servitude. The ropes had grown into my skin. I did not recognize them. I thought if I ripped them out, if I stood up straight, my riddled frame would collapse. I guess I did it anyways. You know, freedom doesn't feel good. I don't know what I was thinking. Not for those who have been packed in a box for decades.

wanderings of an inner landscape: April 2012

http://wanderingsofaninnerlandscape.blogspot.com/2012_04_01_archive.html

Wanderings of an inner landscape. Wednesday, April 25, 2012. No hay que temer. From an email my mom sent me (my translation). Temía estar sola hasta que aprendí a quererme a mi misma. I was afraid to be alone, until I learned to love myself. Temía fracasar hasta que me di cuenta que, únicamente fracaso si no lo intento. I was afraid of failing, until I realized I only fail if I don't try. Temía lo que la gente opinara de mí, hasta que me di cuenta que, de todos modos opinarían de mi. Temía hacerme viejo,...

http://wanderingsofaninnerlandscape.blogspot.com/2014/02/long-time-no-talk.html

Wanderings of an inner landscape. Friday, February 28, 2014. Long time, no talk. Surrender is the opposite of giving up. Yes, I am living in Milwaukee. Still? Maybe that's the wrong question. Always changing, deepening, and there is no going back to old ways of being. Working some jobs, but my real work is yoga and music making. I've been writing and co-writing songs and playing them out. Its tremendous fun, and outrageous joyfulness. Real work. Connected to the ground. I am more myself than ever. Charle...

http://wanderingsofaninnerlandscape.blogspot.com/2012/10/if-i-had-not.html

Wanderings of an inner landscape. Friday, October 12, 2012. If I had not. If I had not done the online search,. If I had not questioned everything,. If I had not said no,. If I had not said yes. If I had not showed up, signed up. If I had not listened,. If I had not listened to myself,. If I had not opened by eyes. If I had not become nauseous and angry,. If I had not cried and wept alone,. If I had not wept in another's arms,. If I had not stood up. If I had not taken the risk,. And dug into the ground.

Wanderings of an Itinerant Mind

Wanderings of an Itinerant Mind. Thursday, August 13, 2015. The Dart theory and Mind control. I am pasting below an excerpt from a very good article by Mr Nate Klemp. You can find in this link. When things are good, the waves are calm, peaceful, and uplifting. When things get crazy, the waves become scary and chaotic. We cannot change these thought waves. On this view, the best we can do is learn to surrender to them – to shift from resistance to acceptance. Here’s Hanson’s big insight &#8211...You can d...

Wanderings of a Rotary Kid

Wanderings of a Rotary Kid. Friday, January 2, 2015. A Latin American Year. None of my adventures were what I expected, but each were good in so many different ways. This year, I've visited 5 new countries: Guatemala, Peru, Chile, Bolivia, and Argentina. Each has been exciting and interesting in it's own ways, but Guatemala and Peru rest the closest to my heart, for the obvious reason of having spent much more time there. Monday, December 29, 2014. A Sunday Antiques Market. The city has not exactly lived...

Home is relative, and as an expat, my heart will forever have a home in multiple places of the world. So welcome back me, to the good ol' U.S.A. It's been a little over two months since we last talked. Gosh, where do I start? Where did I end? When that moment to part ways came, it finally hit me. I was leaving. Saying goodbye is hard for everyone I think, and I am definitely in this group&#4...Curre...

Past and future wanderings of a travel bug . . .

Saturday, January 28, 2012. A Ticket to Nowhere.Exploring the Expansion at the EIA. I got up and out of the house early (for a Saturday) and headed to the Edmonton International Airport. This probably doesn't sound particularly unusual after all this is meant to be a travel blog so surely I've been to my local airport before. True enough. Usually however I go to airport because I am going somewhere or at the very least picking someone up. Today however this was not the case. Headed to the U.S.A! There is...
