Day to Day Life of a Very Lazy Gardener: Good Insulation!
http://whitelees.blogspot.com/2015/01/good-insulation.html
Day to Day Life of a Very Lazy Gardener. Notes from my garden with a bit of other stuff thrown in. Friday, January 30, 2015. We had snow last night. This afternoon when coming back from work we were delighted to see so much snow still on the roof. Having looked out the window this morning, we still have loads of snow up there. This means - we have the right amount of insulation! I love living here. The few snowy days that we get remind me that we are very very fortunate! Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).

Day to Day Life of a Very Lazy Gardener: April 2015

Day to Day Life of a Very Lazy Gardener. Notes from my garden with a bit of other stuff thrown in. Wednesday, April 22, 2015. Right after the first time we cut the grass this spring, we had snow. My initial reaction was disbelief. Then I realised that it is spring. This happens. It's rubbish, but it happens. Now I've cut the grass two more times. Nothing harsher than a spring frost since. Yesterday and today have been a delight as I spend time in the garden. Zebra spider (a jumping spider). On morning di...

Day to Day Life of a Very Lazy Gardener. Notes from my garden with a bit of other stuff thrown in. Tuesday, March 24, 2015. So, I wasn't just ignoring my blog again after promising that I would be much more faithful about writing. I was out of town! Google Map view of where we were. I was in Egypt doing some dives with The Man of the Place. We were also there to visit George who has been there since December. He has had some time to establish himself down there with a bit of credit. Tracy, Luke and George.

Day to Day Life of a Very Lazy Gardener: Night Dives
http://whitelees.blogspot.com/2015/04/night-dives.html
Day to Day Life of a Very Lazy Gardener. Notes from my garden with a bit of other stuff thrown in. Wednesday, April 01, 2015. I was really unsure about them at first. Afraid of the dark, but underwater. Now I love them. I may even prefer them to daytime dives. Giant moray going out on a hunt. I love how the daytime fish go find a hole in which they can spend the night. Parrotfish enrobe themselves in a bubble to protect their fishy scent from attracting the patroling moray eels and sharks. Hans died almo...

Day to Day Life of a Very Lazy Gardener. Notes from my garden with a bit of other stuff thrown in. Sunday, April 20, 2014. Now that we've got a couple of days over Easter, the Man of the Place and I are getting some outside jobs done. We've had almost a week of really good (non-rainy) weather. We can even walk on the grass without our feet sinking and there is no squelchy noise. I'm not going on a fool's errand again! Pumpkins, courgettes and cucumbers. Fuchsias showing life again. The winter, though wet...

http://whiteleesdiving.blogspot.com/2006_04_01_archive.html
Saturday, April 22, 2006. Junior Advanced Open Water Diver! He is now an PADI Advanced Open Water Diver (Junior)! The above photo was taken upon the completion of his second dive of the day and he was, at that moment a newly qualified Advanced Open Water Diver. Well done George. We're so proud of him. He really is a natural at diving. Buoyancy is no problem. He is sensible and he has fun doing it. Suit and completed his Advanced course in place of the dry suit course! This is George, Holly and Henry befo...

Diving: May 2006
http://whiteleesdiving.blogspot.com/2006_05_01_archive.html
Sunday, May 28, 2006. Two newly qualified divers! These are the photos that we submitted to PADI for our Advanced Open Water Diver qualification cards. We finished up our last two dives yesterday. We did our Deep Dive and Navigation Dive at Capernwray, the in-shore dive location nearest us. So, now when we go on our holiday next month, there will be no training to go through. We can just go diving! Posted by Peggy @ 11:33 AM. Scotland, United Kingdom. View my complete profile. Two newly qualified divers!

Diving: February 2006
http://whiteleesdiving.blogspot.com/2006_02_01_archive.html
Sunday, February 19, 2006. I drove across to Tynemouth this morning and stopped into the dive centre. I picked up a dry suit and drove across to the sports centre at Blyth. In the water, showed the instructor that I could actually demonstrate the skills required and then out again. I was at the pool for about a half an hour, tops. Now I'll get a card from PADI. Saying that I can dive using a dry suit. If I wanted to. It was all over so quickly. I think I expected more fuss. Posted by Peggy @ 3:01 PM.
