Why I Bike: A Manifesto. Day: August 2, 2015. August 2, 2015. August 2, 2015. For the month of July, I biked 94.01 miles in 17 days. I also ran 9 times for 19.43 miles. Finally got my butt in gear to ride to work a couple of times this month. I hope to get more bike miles in to get ready for some upcoming rides in the fall. Why I Bike: A Manifesto. June 30, 2015. For the month of June, I biked 21.31 miles in 3 days. I also ran 8 times for 22.79 miles, which included the Pride 5K. Wow– that’s the first time I’ve ever run more than I’ve biked in a given month. A long, long bus ride to Guatemala. Our aim to climb a volcano at sunset in Nicaragua’s city of Leon was unsuccessful due to Nicola contracting tonsillitis and being quite ill for a few days. So after three very hot and uncomfortable nights in Leon, we went back to Managua to catch our 16 hour overnight bus to Guatemala City. Bartering, lakes and nothing to drink in Granada. Friday, November 25, 2016. I can honestly say that I've never camped in November until this year. We were pleasantly surprised by the Michigan weather this fall and were able to squeeze out one last camping weekend.
