Amanda's Ireland Blog
Amanda’s Ireland Blog. My Last Week in Ireland. May 22, 2009 · Filed under Uncategorized. Apologies for my last post being so late. I’ve had limited internet access since I’ve been back, but I figured better late than never! Here is my entry about my final week in Galway. I’m kind of glad to have this last parting memory of Paul and his goofiness. There are a lot of funny pictures, but this is probably my favorite:. 8221; Maybe next time, we should just make lasagna! Thursday night Sammie and I walked to...
Ireland!
Amanda's adventures in Ireland. Wednesday, December 20, 2006. The bus ride there was surprisingly unpleasant. First, the couple in front of us started going at it and they were gross. Then I decided it was a good idea to drink a lot of water during the first part of our journey. Which meant that during the second part of the journey I had to pee really bad. And I was hungry. So I was really thankful to get to Belfast. Our view. Yeah, it was bad. City Hall with a Christmas tree and the international market.

Amanda's Haiti Experience
Tuesday, December 7, 2010. Haiti Mission Trip Recap - The Last Day. Finally finishing up my way-too-lengthy recap of my mission trip experience in Haiti in July 2010. Sunday, July 18, 2010. I'm going home today! Excited, but exhausted. I slept hard on the Ambien from 8pm-5am (eastern). Woke up with soft, clean skin! My intestines are pretty rumbly but so far. nothing. I am persistently thirsty. I had about a 5 minute wait for the shuttle to the airport and realized, "Hey! But almost as immediately that w...

Amanda in Kyoto
Saturday, July 19, 2008. The Year in Numbers. I have 8 days left in Japan, 4 days left in Kyoto, 1 day left of work and 0 days left of school. As I prepare to leave there are a few good-bye parties and ceremonies at which I'm supposed to feel sad about leaving and say that I had a wonderful time and that I will miss it so much. I don't think I'm doing a very good job because my automatic response to the idea of leaving is a big smile with excitement and relief behind it. I taught at 4 community events.
