The Road to Dublin Marathon 2007: It was going so well until.....
http://roadtodublinmarathon2007.blogspot.com/2007/10/it-was-going-so-well-until.html
The Road to Dublin Marathon 2007. Wednesday, 10 October 2007. It was going so well until. After the twist I walked a good percentage of the last four miles, only running when I felt physically able to, but scared of further injury, I waited til I got to the last 400 meters before pushing myself. I managed to push myself to race pace without too much pain, the walking having eased some off the agony I had been feeling when it first happened. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). The Road to Dublin Marathon 2007: August 2007
http://roadtodublinmarathon2007.blogspot.com/2007_08_01_archive.html
The Road to Dublin Marathon 2007. Friday, 17 August 2007. Plan for Sunday is at least 12 miles, although I would quite like to do 13, and since Christmas came early today, in the form of a Garmin Forerunner 101, a present from my Mum, it should be easier for me to work out my mileage without having to resort to Google Maps. As they say, watch this space! Monday, 13 August 2007. Wednesday, 8 August 2007. 4 miles is better than no miles. And you get the picture! Watch this space as they say! Welcome Friend...

Running Matters: Running and Getting Older (Day 19)
http://runningmatters.blogspot.com/2014/01/running-and-getting-older-day-19.html
The evolving manifesto of a soft core runner. Sunday, January 19, 2014. Running and Getting Older (Day 19). Run - 8.7km, 52 minutes. So after a week of sluggishness it was back to running and feeling much happier. My last run, when I was sickening, was a struggle but this felt steady. Good. It means I can keep on keeping on and have not fallen off a fitness cliff. How many people out of how many come to harm? You cannot be timid just because you can imagine a dangerous scenario, you have to know if it is...

The evolving manifesto of a soft core runner. Sunday, January 05, 2014. A Cup of Tea and a Banana (Janathon Day 5). Run - 7.8km, 50 minutes. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). My project for 2014 is to try to record small, fleeting moments of pleasure. The sort of thing that makes you inwardly smile but is then quickly forgotten. I want to prove that my default setting is not really miserablist. The blog is called Small Moments. How can basic exercise make you feel more connected? Summary of Days 26-30.

Running Matters: In Defence of Janathon (Day 4)
http://runningmatters.blogspot.com/2014/01/in-defence-of-janathon-day-4.html
The evolving manifesto of a soft core runner. Saturday, January 04, 2014. In Defence of Janathon (Day 4). Run (treadmill) - 5km, 29 minutes. Yesterday I was amused by a small conversation on Twiter. It started with @simon lamb saying:. What the fuck is janathon and jantastic does every single piece of our ass need to be sloganised what's wrong with good old fashioned running. Are they the same thing? I started reading the rules and almost died of boredom. Where do we go with this? But that is by the bye&...
