Juneathon Day 27 – parkrun | The Winsome Run
https://thewinsomerun.wordpress.com/2015/06/27/juneathon-day-27-parkrun
Juneathon Day 27 – parkrun. June 27, 2015. One hundred metres into this morning’s parkrun and I thought “I really hate parkrun”. Today was my 60th parkrun, so that thought was either a lie, or I am very good at convincing myself to do things I find repugnant. Juneathon Day 27 – 4 miles running and approximately 4 miles walking. The ugliest chicks around. 7 thoughts on “ Juneathon Day 27 – parkrun. June 27, 2015 at 5:21 pm. Wish I could raise my butt early enough for ParkRun! June 28, 2015 at 4:21 am.

Juneathon: The Penultimate – Inner chat. June 29, 2015. Today I wanted to run at least 5.2 miles and to incorporate an interval session of some kind. The bargaining started when I got home:. Lazy Me: Hills are too hard, let’s just run the flat route. Energetic Me: Ok, well if we’re running the flat route, we may as well do sprint intervals. LM: Grumble, grumble, we’re too tired. EM: *Sets intervals on watch*. EM: *Sets 10 repeats* heads off. LM: *begrudgingly* maybe, but just 5. June 29, 2015 at 7:18 pm.

January 12, 2016. Holiday run in Tasmania. It is, I’m sure, obvious that I’m not participating in Janathon this year, I have just returned from a three week holiday in Australia where I spent the first 9 days of the year sitting in the sun, swimming in the pool, eating apricots, strawberries, peaches and raspberries still warm from the garden and visiting friends and family. Not much time for exercise and definitely no time for blogging. Tasmanian Devil at Tasmania Zoo. 8220;Where’s my lunch? I took my c...
Juneathon Day 30!! | The Winsome Run
https://thewinsomerun.wordpress.com/2015/06/30/juneathon-day-30
June 30, 2015. It’s the last day of Juneathon and I’m struggling to keep track of the days: It definitely feels like it’s Wednesday – probably because I rarely run on Monday and always run on Tuesday, so running yesterday and not today has put me out of sync. Anyway for my final act of Juneathon I did 4 x 30 squats, 3 x 8 single leg squats and my calf raisers on the step. And sigh, it is done. So, in case you missed it, here is Juneathon in summary:. Blog posts – 30 woot! Running – 100.4 miles. Well done...

A happy gnome that jogs! My tiny hands are frozen. Only a parkrun to go →. January 29, 2015. Before we bid a fond farewell to Janathon – you just watch the weather improve! But for now, it could well be described as “brass monkey” weather as I did a five mile run in the dark and cold this morning but the thought of just two more days kept me going! Not many more sheep for you to identify which is just as well as I’m struggling a bit for pictures but have a look at this wonderful mother and tell me. IR...

Juneathon Day 23 | The PhD Runner

Running away from reality. Thankfully my left foot was pain free and I was able to go for a much needed run. I decided to give my foot a break from the pavement pounding, and after waiting forever for my Garmin to function, headed towards the top end of Sutton Park. Less than 10 minutes later I was back running on one of my favourite trails in the park. I love living so close to Sutton Park and will miss my quiet trails when I move away. Cumulative Juneathon Distance 36.06 km. June 24, 2015. You are comm...

No filters, no motivation. It's Meant To Do That. Tags: camogie, hurling, Janathon ( 35 ). Day 11 – Practice Makes Perfect. If I’m going to start playing hurling again, I thought I’d better go out and see if I could still hit the damn thing. Turns out I could! Croydon, here I come! Thanks, that’s about the tenth photo we tried! I did a lot of hurling when I was at university. I don’t drink that much any more, though. Leave a Reply Cancel reply. #juneathon 2015 day 19: no pain, big gain | I can. I will
https://icaniwill.wordpress.com/2015/06/19/juneathon-2015-day-19-no-pain-big-gain
I can I will. A few inane words on my quest to become fit and unfat again. Juneathon 2015 day 19: no pain, big gain. I didn’t run a long way today – about 6km – but I ran pain-free for the first time I can remember for a long time. This maybe because my memory is rubbish (perhaps I ought to write about the boring minutiae of my daily run in some sort of blog). Or it maybe because I’ve had niggling little pains since the turn of the year. Click to share on Twitter (Opens in new window). On 20 June 2015.

One foot in front of the other. 10K Festival of Running. March 9, 2015. Yesterday I ran the 10K in the Milton Keynes Festival of Running. The weather was fine. Cool but dry. But also quite windy. I found the run pretty hard. Then the course was fairly easy and level, and although I found our pace quite fast I didn’t really begin to struggle until kilometre 7 when we turned into the headwind. To be honest, if. Distance: 10.20km, time: 55:28, pace: 5:26min/km, speed: 11.03km/h. March 9, 2015 at 12:57 pm.

Training, running, racing. Terrified or terribly excited? June 13, 2015. It’s the Liverpool Rock ‘n’ Roll Marathon tomorrow and I’m heading towards it with a massive mixed bag of emotions. I ran it last year and loved it, at the peak of my running so far, achieving a PB of 3:22:39, which I was absolutely thrilled with and hugely proud of. Training continued to go well, I completed a duathlon in September then the Royal Parks Half marathon on October 12. Just seconds outside my half marathon PB. As to my ...

THE WINSOME LIFE
Wednesday, May 29, 2013. Our Memorial Day weekend was so much fun and was cram packed, without being too crazy! It flew by way too quickly though! We ate at the Vortex in little 5 points. Travis had the Elvis burger. Got to see Davy and Nena before they moved to Detroit. Went to Stone Mountain for the Memorial Day laser show and fireworks. Our friends Heather, Antioni, and baby Tred came with us. Our view for the show. We hiked up that mountain, and boy was it harder than I thought it would be! Jones', C...

The Winsome Run | a running blog
August 4, 2015. April, May, June, August…. Someone appears to have stolen July. I swear it was only last week that I finished a month long effort of daily exercise and blogging! Hmmm, maybe it was the week before last. My cross training has disappeared into the ether: No spin classes, no core strengthening, not even a token nod to my physio exercises. But August is a new month and tonight I started back on the planks and bridges – just a few of each to ease myself back in. A post parkrun reward 😀. There...

Friday, July 8, 2011. Will has been so excited for his 5th birthday. He wanted everything to be a surprise. He went shopping with me for some presents and party supplies, and he just kept his eyes closed until the items were safely hidden in the cart. He didn't want to know anything about his cake, presents, or party activities. So here is a rundown of the party. It was a dinosaur party. The boys found hidden dinosaur eggs around the yard and played a dinosaur guessing game. We shot off some fireworks.
